Okay that was a pretty corny title but I'm going to stick with it.

So, this is where you introduce yourself? My handle is Thurge. I live in Georgia USA. I stopped smoking about 3 months ago and was having a hard time until my co-worker showed me his e-cig. He bought it online from Awesome Vapers (which is, oddly enough, also in Georgia and not that far away either) he has an ego style battery with a bridged atomizer and a cartridge.

Inspired to make the switch I found the Atmos X-510, an ego style battery, with what I think was a stardust clearomizer. At first I thought "this is pretty good" but I kept getting eliquid in my mouth. Luckily, it was pretty good liquid (at least I thought it was good)

I then discovered the ego-c twist. Huge improvement in flavor. Now mind you I had done some research since getting the Atmos (I lost that battery on a trip to Tybee Island beach but I had a great time so...) and I knew variable voltage would be better. I am the type of guy that likes to walk into a store think about a purchase and buy it on the spot if it's what I want. I really don't do much online shopping. So during my reseach I had run across the Provari but had balked at the price tag. I really wanted one but felt it was too much to pay for an eCig device. So I found an ego-c twist kit for like $45 at a local smoke shop (I paid over $60 for the atmos which by the way is a pretty crappy battery.) I really like the twist it performed so much better and more consistent. I hadn't yet learned how ohm's law applied to vaping (I was familiar with it as I am in the technology field and also a nerd but didn't know how it applied to vaping.) So I was thinking a little less about that provari.

During my research I discovered ECF! My knowledge took a huge leap forward. The more I learned the more appealing that provari became. So I had the inspiration to use ECF to try to find local B&M vendors of higher end ecigs. I figured I could find a lower priced device that was essentially the same as a provari. I ran across a post about Vaperite which is in Woodstock GA (this is like 10 minutes from my house.) I checked out their website and saw the Innokin SVD variable voltage and power device. It was like $80 and I was thinking "that'll work!!!" I had to hurry thought because Vaperite closes really early. I mean 8pm, really Vaperite? Really!?!?! I made it there from work at about 15 minutes before closing. I walked in and they immediately jumped on me. That is the only thing I dislike about vaperite, that feeling like you are a piece of meat dropped into the shark tank. Fortunately, they are really nice and have above average knowledge about ecigs. I walked over to the case to see the Innokin and what did I see?!?! A Provari in the case nearby!!! they had both the mini and the full size. Being a big guy with big hands I opted to get a big one. the problem was they only had it in Purple and Red. I opted for a purple provari, the 18650 extension, an efest high drain 18650 battery, a charger, and 2 kanger T3S clearomizers in purple and black.

Vaperite Woodstock is a cool store and their location in Atlanta is even nicer. I'm not trying to be their promoter but it's true. I went back and picked up a kanger protank 2 and another battery. I then picked up a 510 bridged atty for dripping (I didn't know that bridgeless was better I just wanted to try new flavors.) Life was good until I somehow heard about the Nemesis clone from Hcigar. I had discovered another vape shop down in Sandy Springs called Big Bang eCigs. They have a pretty modest storefront but some really cool stuff. I think I first saw the nemesis clone there and it wasn't long before I picked one up (Nemesis Clone) along with my first rebuildable, an AGI. I have to say the AGI is a really cool device but it's not the best first rebuildable. Fortunately, I'm good with my hands and my computer support skills translate well to working on rebuildables. I built it as a genesis with a microcoil in auto-dripping mode. I filled it with Boba's Bounty and OMG! The flavor was like eating a dessert, like flan or creme brulee. It was so good! I eventually took it apart when the cotton wick got that burnt taste. This time I went to a traditional mesh wick in full genesis mode. Pretty darn good! I have tried a bunch of different configs. Recently I acquired some ribbon kanthal from Temco and I switched the AGI to dripper mode and picked up an AGA-TD.

I never thought I'd become a "dripper" but the nemesis clone and agi dripper have become my everyday vape. If anybody is looking for advice for rebuilding I'd definitely say use ribbon kanthal it's so much easier to work with! So we covered the past and the present. In the future I want to get another nemesis clone so I can have a dripping setup and a genesis setup. I want to get a kick 2 module so I can go regulated sub ohm. I'm more interested in a consistent exceptional vape than a possibly better but inconsistent vape. I also have my eye on the Trident gold plated clone. I have no issues with buying cloned goods. I never try to "front" like they are the real thing and they don't take away market share from the creators because if it wasn't $30 I'd just be happy with the provari that I already have. Anyhow that's me. If anbody has questions feel free to ask I'm pretty open.

Hi Thurge, and welcome!

Not so much grammar police, but readability. Judicious use of the Enter key makes it a lot easier on us old folks :)

Sounds like you've successfully jumped into the deep end. Congrats, and keep up the good work! Just not sure what you're going to do with the Kick, as the Provari is already VV. Did you also get a mechanical for your sub-ohm foray? (You did mention, buried in there, that you got another battery, but to me that's, for example, another 18650 for the Provari...)

Curious on how much you paid for your provari at a 3rd party B&M?

They (Vaperite) are actually an authorized reseller. You can see them on the list at the provape website. I don't remember the exact price but here is what I got that day. 1 efest imr 18650 battery, 1 provari, 1 provari extension cap, 2 kanger T3S, 1 charger, 1 510 to ego converter. For all of that I paid ~$300. I think they sell the provari alone for $220.
