Just wanted to say hi to everyone, I have been reading the forums to get information about ecigs. I appreciate all the info people have posted, it helped educate me quickly.

I ended up picking up supplies at V4L today since they are right down the road from me and it made me feel more comfortable knowing I could rush over in an emergency to grab supplies if needed (they are not a retail location so I'll use the website normally).

Since the search feature it usually hit or miss on these forums I am left with a question. If you've "opened" a carto and have used it, is it ok to place it back in the case without the rubber stopper or cover? The batteries don't fit in the case with the carto in place so I am worried that when I put it in the case without it's covers it will leak all over everything.

Can it safely be carried around without the stopper and cover? If not, any suggestions since replacing the stopper while out and about seems like a hassle.

Thanks!

It can be carried just fine without the stopper and covers, if you vape/fill it frequently (every couple hours at least). Otherwise it could dry out, in which case you just add a few drops of liquid to the carto and you're good. The great thing about cartomizers is that they rarely leak unless they are over-filled. So you should be fine. Keep on vapin! :)

V4L carries two kinds of cartos - their Premiums and their Coolcarts and I don't know if they are different to fill. I like the Coolcarts :) but I have not refilled one yet.

Watch this
YouTube - Basic Refilling for Vapor4Life Cartomizers

And if you search Youtube for one of these:
refill Vapor4Life cartos
refill V4L cartos
refill Vapor King cartos
(or replace carts with carts or cartomizers)

You will find more videos

Welcome to ECF. I didn't realize V4L was there. We have a son,d-i-l and 4 Grandchildren in Rolling Meadows. How far away would that be from V4L?
I love reading and there is a TON of great material on this site. I read for days before I even joined. On our down day, reading is a big thing for some of us. That and sleeping and eating........and sleeping.:2cool:
Good luck to ya.

If I leave it too long and need to add a few drops, where would I do that? Through the hole you normally inhale though or the hole that is near the battery?

I have a few V4L carto's and just took a look. Either the blanks or the pre-filled have a rubber end that you can remove (with the end of a paperclip or something) if you want to refill it. Just stick the paperclip into the hole where you inhale and pop it off, add a few drops, and put the plug back on.

It's pretty close, but like everything around Chicago....it depends on traffic. Prob about 15-20 min without heavy traffic.

But like I said in my first post, they unfortunately aren't setup for retail. It's a warehouse...they were just kind enough to make an exception since I was new to this and wanted to see the different sizes in person since I didn't have any idea what I was getting into.

If you have juice on hand, just pop off the tip of the cartomizer. The part that goes into your mouth. Use a dental pick or even a corkscrew. Tweezers that are pointed or even small eyeglass screwdriver will pop it right off. Hold the cartomizer at an angle and drip the e-liquid down the tube side and the filler will soak it up. If the liquid starts to pool a bit and not soak in-stop. Put the tip back on and vape. There are videos on youtube that will help you along. I'll go see if I can find one or 5-lol.

Here's a decent one, click the word here. It is for filling a new blank cartomizer. You won't get as many drops into a prefilled, but it gives you an idea of how to fill. The spin helps by pushing the juice down into the cartomizer, centrifugal force.
