Hello! I’m thinking about switching from cigs to vapes since quitting cold turkey didn’t work for me. I’ve never vaped before and i was hoping that maybe i could receive some advice. I’m thinking about getting a regulated box mod mostly a voopoo too, smok x-priv, smok g-priv 2, vaporesso revenger or revenger x, and a wimcase predator since there are not that many options in my country. I hope you all could help me and thank you for any advice or tip you can share.

Welcome....getting a mod is dependent on your personal preference with regards to how it feels in your hand and the type of power you want to get out of your device all the above listed are good vapes.

If you using vaping to get off cigs one important thing youll need to find out is the level of nicotine youd need to satisfy your needs so be sure to test a few juices and different strengths so you can find one thats good for you and be sure to get something you like taste wise (desert/ fruit)

wish you the best of luck :thumb:

Hi and welcome,
Tell us how much and for how long you have smoked and we can make a few suggestions. Did you use pre-rolled or did you roll your own? Filters?

Please tell us where you are located.

Cheers

I’ve smoked for 10 or 11 years, usually a pack of marlboro red a day or less. I’m from Panamá, over here vape stores are not allowed but there are people who buy mods and ejuice, and resell them so that’s why there’s not that much of a variety. I would buy it online but don’t know if customs would seize or not, still trying to figure that part out.

M,
If you are just starting, I might point you towards an Innokin T20.
However I suggest you see WHAT products you can get and then research each.
If you get a device without a built in battery, you will need to find a source for authentic, branded batteries and an external charger.
It is important to confirm that you can get replacement coil heads for any device you select.
Juice; I would start at 9mg/ml-12mg/ml for the T20 device.

Cheers

Good luck on quitting smoking... As mentioned above- batteries. In addition to finding batteries and a charger look up some videos and search through ECF for battery safety. When you have anything with batteries you have to treat batteries with tender special care. Especially with e-cigs. You might want to try to start with one with internal batteries if you aren't sure you'll be able to get authentic batteries.
If you know someone who is vaping see if they would allow you to try their device/juice to see if its something you like if you do than try to get what they have. Again, as said above try different strengths of juice. I would get 6-9-12 to see which works for you.
And, as said above its important you'll be able to get replacement coil heads. When you buy your device make sure to get plenty of replacement coils incase you are not able to in the future. Getting a rebuildable is 1 way to make sure you always have coils-since you build them yourself. This also requires research to make sure you are safe. There is alot to learn when you are using an rba. Safety first- lots of research to ensure your safety.

Well, it's hard to say what you might like, since this is your first foray into vaping. Given equipment may be hard to find where you are, I might consider a two battery mod that you can get good life out of, whether you smoke MTL (smaller volume of vapor, higher nicotine level, usually at or above 1.0 resistance and more like smoking a cigarette), or DL (subohm so less that 1.0 resistance, higher wattage, more vapor, lower nicotine content, and inhaling directly into your lungs like a straw.)

That way, you can choose a sub0hm tank to see how you like it, versus a MTL atomizer (which can easily go on whatever box mod you choose) something like a Nautilus two, or an Ego Mega One V2 (but the joytech CLR coils at 1.0 resistance, they would need to be purchased separately but they fit that tank. I don't really have a great recommendation for a sub0hm topper, I vape MTL. But to me, that looks like the most efficient way to get what you need, as you figure out what you want if that makes any sense.

You do also need a source for authentic batteries and a charger if you are using external batteries that are typically removed from the mod to charge elsewhere. That may be one of your biggest difficulties, finding authentic batteries, but it is important to do so.

Best of luck, and welcome to ECF. The right juice (correct strength, a flavor you like, and at the right PG/VG percentage will also be important. You may have to do some experimenting there, too.

It can all seem a bit daunting to start, but the main thing is to develop a plan, then implement it in stages. You will find your vaping "nirvana" somewhere along the way.

Best of luck, and welcome :)

You're in a very difficult position being in Panama. I'm afraid I can't help you with that problem. Customs in some countries do seize e-cig products and may even prosecute those people who try to sneak them in. Good luck with this part.

I would suggest attempting to find out what vendors are willing to ship to Panama, and then research which products those vendors carry. You may end up having to use the black market in the end.

To gain a little basic education, you need understand some terminology and "slang terms". Everything with e-cigs comes down to battery safety.

All of the devices you have mentioned require two 18650 batteries. You should order 4 batteries so you have a backup pair and it will reduce the stress from the batteries if they can rest and not always be working. Best of luck to you.
