I'm on my second week of being total "tobacco free"! I smoked for over 20 years. After watching a couple of friends and family members die of tobacco related diseases I stopped smoking. I couldn't handle the patches (vivid nightmares), the gum tasted like chewing a .... out of the ashtray. I turned to smokeless tobacco patches. After getting yelled at for 2 years by the "boss" I happened to be watching the new movie "The Tourist". I saw an electronic cig for the first time in my life actually in use. After 3 days of hard research I made my first PV kit purchase. (KR808D-1) I wasn't overly impressed with the avaliable prefilled carts. I googled how to refill carts and found this site. I've spent many hours reading post after post here and have learned alot from you all! This forum is full of helpful and compassionate folks. I'm happy to be a part of the community! :2cool:

Awesome! A Tourist-inspired convert!

Vapor4Life.com's stuff is KR808D-1. Did you get any of Vapor4Life's carto samplers? I like their WOW tobacco sampler - only had a couple so far. I enjoyed the WOW 555 (nutty somewhat sweet tobacco) and the WOWbacco (a deep tobacco cocoa blend). I also have one of their Tobacco Shop samplers and a Mixed berry sampler to try.

And I've been vaping Backwoods Brew's Vanilla Bean in a carto for 3 days.

Welcome and congrats MVgratz!!! Wait till you see the dark side - like, "Stalking the Mailperson", or "DIY. ACK! I just ordered 500ml of flavors!", and always remember the mantra:

Extra atties, batts and juice

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

All ready have made 4 large purchases. 3 to e-juices suppliers, and 1 for "4" extra batteries,case,DIY supplies etc...! Gesh, thought it was supposed to be CHEAPER! I know once I get a good supply of the necessary accesories the costs shouldn't be as bad as the $6+ price per/pk here in Florida. And even if it cost double what the analoges costs I feel the health benefits would justify the expense.
Now I've got to figure out how to cut the sweetness down on the premade juices I have purchased. Maybe a few mg's of nicotine level down as well. (I bought the 36mg juices) I guess I'll just have to get a bottle of PG base, small vials, and start drop by drop to get the desired tastes.??? Any sugguestions from you DIY'ers would be much appreciated since I can't posts in the proper forum to get answers to those types of questions. (The juices I have got are all mixes of 50/50 down to 80pg/20vg) I assume since I have read that VG is sweeter tasteing base that I should use PG to cut with...

Welcome to the ECF. I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale really missed the "reservation" pricing when I moved. DIY is great as are e-cigs in general; initial costs may be a bit high (but I was a 3pad smoker so I could spend a lot and still be cheaper than analogs). Once settled the overall costs go way down, but the enjoyment goes way up. I can never remember spending hours perusing the cigarette racks trying to decide what type I would want to try this week :).
