Hi!

Although I`ve been following this forum for the last couple of times, this is my first post. Why? Well because yesterday I`ve got my joyetech eRoll.

I started smoking about 7-8 years ago and I smoke about half a pack to 1 pack a day. Camel filters of course:)

To be honest I love my camel and the main reason I am quitting is not how I feel today but is how I would feel in 10,20,30 years from now. Plus, my fiance doesn`t smoke, and wants me to quit. Actually she never insisted on it, maybe reminded me once in every six months in our relationship. But last time, she said she wants to spend maximum amount of years with me and doesn`t want me to die before her (well you can`t control that but she has a point).

So, I tried njoy just to see how it works, and now I have my eRoll.

Although I read lots and lots of threads in this forum, I still have 3 basic questions and would appreciate if anyone answers these for me.

1- Since I smoke Camels, I LOVE a strong TH. However I realized it is not really the same effect while smoking an ecig. It is more like a burning sensation and I didn`t like it. Now I changed my inhaling style a bit and it is a bit better now. What are your suggestions on playing with PG/VG ratio to change the intensity of TH?

2- Other than TH, what else PG/VG ratio affects ecig experience? Is VG more healthy?

3- I know that you can`t find the exact smell and taste of an analog in ecigs, but I would love to find an e-juice that is similar to Camel filters. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance! Hopefully I will get rid of analogs with the help of this forum. It`s been only 16 hours since my last one:)

PG generally gives the throat hit as does the Nicotine content.
VG generally determines how much vapor you get.

If you are looking for a replacement for Camel's, someone else will maybe weigh in with suggestions. I would suggest looking into NET liquids. NET = Naturally Extracted Tobacco. There are many eliquid suppliers that sell this. There is a thread here devoted to NET's: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ussion/519685-natural-tobaccos-part-deux.html

Welcome to the forum :)

First, congratulations for taking the steps to quit the stinkies!

You sound a lot like me and probably a lot of people on here did when they first quit. You want the closest thing you can find to the real thing. There are some good tobacco eliquids out there, you'll just have to experiment. Taste is completely subjective, of course. There are many juice vendors that will offer sample packs and you can choose a few different flavors until you find the right one for you.

The difficulty with doing that in something like the eroll is that trying different juices can tend to get expensive by constantly having to replace their cartridges. What I might suggest, and I'm not sure where you live and if there is a brick and mortar shop nearby, however, if there is, I would suggest that you go in there and see if they offer tobacco flavored e-liquids. Then ask to try them. Most shops will allow you to try the different flavors until you find the one you like best.

My other suggestion would be to keep an open mind concerning ejuice. When I first quit I couldn't think of anything except finding that 'one juice' that matched the analogs. I finally gave in and tried some of the different flavored juices after watching many reviews and I'm so glad that I did. Now, I have absolutely no interest in finding that "pure tobacco" flavor. In fact I tend to stay away from juices that remind of analogs. I don't like the taste anymore!

That being said, there are some wonderful juices that have tobacco flavors in them. Again, keep an open mind, try a few different juices, find 1 or 2 that make you happy and keep on vaping. Good luck!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

There aren`t any vape shops close by. But I will be moving to Houston during summer, so I might get a chance to try a lot of e-juice flavours down there.

Billyhill; which company produces those juices?

Robino1; NET`s don`t have 0mg option right? Because at one point I want to decrease it to 0.

I'm one week into vaping and 50/50 really tears up my throat and the smell makes me gag. Last few mornings it's been impossible to vape. Right now I'm trying 75% VG 12mg Turkish from Kalamazoo Vapor. Can't say that I'm terribly pleased with the flavor but it's a little less harsh and it does a much better job of replicating the real thing in an Ecom. I've got 100% VG coming today from Velvet Cloud and some 90% VG from Ahlusion soon. Doubt I'll be going back to anything more than 10% PG.

Hello and welcome to ECF d.g. I was a camel smoker as well (although menthol).

As already mentioned PG generally = Stronger Throat Hit, additionally, PG has been cited as being a better flavor carrier than VG (most flavor concentrates are PG based) but I cannot say whether this is true or not.

I was able to find a few juices that were pretty much spot on, but nothing which completely and totally mimicked them. Good luck to you.

So in theory;
- If you get 100% PG, there will be almost no vapor, and TH will be maximum.
- If you get 100% VG, there will be maximum vapor, minimum TH.

Am I correct?

What about nic content? How much does it affect the vapor and TH intensity?

Thats pretty much correct. The greater the nic content the greater the throat hit. But higher nic may have a muting effect on flavor. I've noticed most vape shops use zero or 6 mg in their tasters. I'm assuming they do this to bring out the full flavor.
