This forum is saving newbie starters a TON of money. I was looking at SS site last night and a 5 pack of carto's is $20.00. I know I was tired as it was late... I had to look 3 or 4 times as i was convinced I was reading it wrong.....

$20.00??? I would literally vape $15-$30 a DAY at that price... craziness....

Cheaper w/ ECF discount, and they are refillable easily. And as I've said before, they work MUCH better than any other cartos I've tried abd don't burn. Also, they are that expensive because they are made in the SmokeStik factory in China and Canada. They are not the mass produced cartos with so much more problems.

For newbies to compare... if they want to get a better idea on what it will cost them a day...(once they have their kit)...

I haven't used a 10ml bottle to fill carto's and count how many it will fill... but my guess is about 25? About $8.00 for 10 ml of juice.... Here is the math...

$8/25 = .32 cents per to refill them.

Even if you puff 5 a day, that is about $1.50 a day. Now that's a "little" more reasonable than $20.00/day.

Obviously you will still need to buy carto's as they don't last forever, etc... but you see the point...

Again, they are EASILY refillable by removing the mouthpiece cap. And I have refilled mine more than 3 dozen times for a couple of them, and no failures.

I'm partial to the condom method (ha, ha maybe I just like being juvenile and chuckling over it) and though I usually use carts or just drip it is nice to have some cartos lying about in case you end up without an atty.

Back to the thread, a really good purchase pez, I think you'll be happy with it. I hang my head in shame because I just couldn't resist the deal, I almost gave in the first day the sale was up and then last night I just couldn't let it pass by...there were only 50 of them (13 when I ordered)! at $39.99 I just couldn't pass it up! I justify the purchase by reasoning that I am planning to remain a vaper for a very long time and I need a good reliable PV for that (pay no attention to the fact I have a 510 mega with 2 passthroughs and 3 batteries currently) When I was out for the whole day this week I ran into problems with my batteries on the 510 and I already lost one passthrough moving it from here to there and back again. You see my need right! I mean, I did need it, it was a necessity. I keep telling myself that. Now all I need to make me happy is the flavorings in my cart at HC and about 100 bottles of 555 from vapor renu and I'll be set until I see something new.

Congratulations on the excellent purchase Pez, just remember Juice Juice Juice. That's all you'll really need now to get you vaping away, it's all you should need for the next couple of months. When you receive your eGo and juice just keep telling yourself that.

I was getting ready to order backup batteries for my Riva ego when I saw this deal. I bought myself one and two for xmas gifts.

On another thread yesterday, someone was being STEERED to a site with an $80 Ego kit and I wanted to tear my hair out. I posted about Liberty but I think I was too late.

I'm waiting on another Riva kit next week. :)

Could have been a lot worse. They could have gotten a one-battery kit here for a mere $159.99: Totally Vapor USA

How could anyone sell a one battery kit in good conscience, regardless of the price. There is NO way someone can vape with one battery as you will have to eventually recharge it - no matter how big it is or how long it lasts...

And I searched the site to see if they sold spare batteries for it, and they don't. I was curious how much they would be. They leave ignorant purchasers high and dry. 510 batteries are $29.99!

How can anyone sell 30 or 40 bucks worth of stuff for $160 in good conscience?

Some people have no conscience. I don't understand how the people who run businesses like that sleep at night. They must know they're ripping people off. He's buying the things for 10 bucks a pop wholesale from China.

I agree. But there is a difference in ethics in cost vs. use. Even if they charged $200.00 for a proper kit, sure the person got ripped off BUT at least they MIGHT have the tools to quit smoking. They would only be out the money. With one battery there is no chance of someone being able to just vape...

As crazy as this sounds $30.00 for a 510 battery is not outrageous compared to some sites. Look at Fifty-One. The BATTERY is $50 and if you want a colored one it is $60.00. Nothing like 400% markup - if you can get it...

Using that markup i have some used socks i can sell you for $18. If you want them clean they are $20. LOL.

It cuts both ways. I know of at least one case in which a smoker didn't even consider vaping because of what he thought it costs. "It's like $200, from what I saw."

Information may be on a Superhighway these days, but a high percentage of it appears to be deliberate misinformation--and I know that if I'd had the perception that two C-notes was the price of admission to something I knew little about and didn't trust, I'd have never joined the club; there's no knowing how many would-be vapers are still smoking after contracting sticker-shock from these opportunists with websites.

BTW, it's not even close to impossible to vape with a single 650mAh battery. Some are good for most of a day on that, charge at night.
