Hi all

I'm new here but have been vaping using a 510. I recently ran out of liquid with nicotine so I would like to ask for a list (privately) of suppliers in Canada (or Ontario where I am)

I have a question

I have only ever used PG and I'm wondering about VG. Sometimes the PG bothers me (ie: a kind of taste is what i get...it's hard to explain). Now this could be the 510 for all I know so I have ordered a bloog mini (can't wait to receive it!)

Anyway, I'd like to hear some opinions and thoughts on both types.

Which do you prefer and why?

Hi and Welcome
Normally I use PG but the GF started using the E Cig and all PG seemed to bother her. Throat,Stomach etc. We switched to 50/50 and no problems after that. You don't get as much Throat Hit but it is nice and smooth with lots of vapor. Another plus is the fluid is a bit thicker so it might prevent a small leak. The object is to find something you enjoy so try a blend. You could go to Shoppers and get some VG and mix a small amount to try. Good Luck

What a great idea!! I didn't know you could buy it at shoppers! Ok..once I get my hands on some with nic in it I will give it a try. I am having problems with leaks in the 510 which is another reason I bought the bloog. For all I know that could leak too. lol
I mostly get bothered by a dryness in the throat now that you mention it, and there is a taste...as if I was walking through the fog from a dry ice machine. Bleck!

Welcome to the forums Whyper and I believe I can offer some information on PG and VG.

PG - I am sensitive to PG, I don't find any odd taste is involved but I do have some issues with vaping it straight. That aside, PG is the most popular base because it can work well with pretty much any device on the market and doesn't require any mixing skill at all. It is a better flavour medium and provides an excellent throat hit while the vapor production is average.

VG - I am not sensitive to VG at all and I always have at least a 50% or higher ratio of it in my juices. VG is much thicker than PG, and as such requires thinning with food grade alcohol or distilled water to be used with Cartomizers like the Bloog MaxxFusion 808 cartos and etc. 100% VG doesn't carry flavours as well and mutes the more subtle tones in your juices but the vapor production is out of this world.... Which makes "Stealth Vaping" impossible.


I used to vape nothing but PG but since I have developed a sensitivity I have stuck at 50/50 VG/PG, but discovering if you like 100% PG, 100% VG or any mix in between is very much a personal path of discovery.

There is no nic in the VG at shoppers. What are you using on the 510 a cartridge or cartomizer Carto has the cart and the atomizer all in one. The cart goes on the atomizer. You could be putting to much fluid in for the leak. The bad taste could be a dry hit. I was thinking if you buy the VG you could try mixing about 1 mil of the VG with about 1 mil of your juice containing Nic. It will cut the nic in half but give you a rough idea what it will be like. Or you could order juice from some of the vendors that have a 50/50 blend or they will mix it for you. I just ordered from Jugheads and they have a 50/50. A lot of the vendors do that. The dry Throat is normal for people just starting. The PG can dehydrate you so drink lots of water when starting

Thanks Noiz! If I mix 50.50 can I use it in the bloog? I will add some VG and do some fiddling and see what I can handle in the 510 but I have to get my hands on some nic flavours first lol.

Drac, yes I figured the VG was 'straight' (so to speak). The 510 I have has cartridges that I refill and I have experimented with the amts I add time and time again and still I end up with leaks so I really don't know what I am doing wrong. Its frustrating for sure. I am an avid water drinker so maybe I am just sensitive to PG. If I google jugheads and find the site should I just email them and ask for what I'm looking for or should I wait for someone here to send me a list of vendors?

For a lot of vendors you have to go to their website then join. You then shop around and buy what you want. I will pm you a list. It is missing a few of the newer vendors on it but normally you should get 2 or 3 lists .Maybe one of them will be newer than mine

NP and I own a bloog myself and have had no issues using 50/50 in them They also won't leak as drac mentioned since the atomizer is built into the cartridge itself. Just some advice though, always fill the cartomizers for your bloog when it is off of your battery, or else you risk getting juice in your automatic battery and frying it.

Carts can be messy. Put enough drops in till the top of the filler looks like a slushy. You could dab that lightly if you want. Try that and see if that helps. There is some alterations you can do to the cart filler to hold more juice but it is still going to be a cart.
