Hello :)
I am shopping for an ecig and have only just learned about them three days ago, so have a few newbie questions as I am sifting through all of this new jargon.

I am looking at purchasing the Joye Ego starter kit that has the following description:

Combining the trusted Joye 510 atomizer with a much larger capacity battery, this device improves on the standard 510 kit by being able to operate longer between needing to be recharged, nearly 4 times as long as a standard 510 battery. Depending on usage, this means the device could last anywhere from 5 hours for heavy vaping to up to a few days for a light vaper. Kit comes with :

  • 2 x manual eGo 650mAh batteries
  • 2 x Joye 510 atomizer
  • 2 x Atomizer Cone
  • 5 x tobacco cartridges
  • 1 x high speed USB charger
  • 1 x usb mains charger
  • 1 x user manual
  • 1 x presenation box

I am wondering, is everything here for me to get started straight away? do I need to buy the fluid on top of this or are the 5X tobacco cartridges mentioned the fluid I am thinking of?

I am further aware that the fluid comes in different strengths and flavours, but the order form does not let me specify what I would like. Is there a standard that comes with the starter pack?

Im looking at this site: Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Joye eGo and am shipping it to Australia. I don;t think there are many betteer deals than this one but if you know of one plase let me know :)

Thanks for your help in advance :)

Also, keep in mind PG=more flavor and throat hit and VG=more vapor. Many like a good 50/50 mix. And don't be timid about trying flavors other than tobacco...my fav is waffle from vaporbomb and when I first started I thought the flavors would be disgusting! FSUSA's RY4 is a great tobacco like flavor, very addicting. Don't expect any juice to taste like your cig, most actually prefer this to the taste of their old cigs if given a chance. Good luck!

I would suggest purchasing some cartomizers as well. They're less fuss than using an atomizer. You simply drip liquid onto the batting and wait for it to soak. My initial impressions of atomizers were pretty scary, but I felt more comfortable with a cartomizer. Now I use both about 50/50. When you're out and about, cartomizers will definitely come in handy! Hope this helps

Hi and welcome to ECF. As the others mentioned you will need more juice. Those 5 prefilled cartridges will probably only last a day, and they don't usually taste very good either. From what I understand it's more difficult to get nic juice in Australia. If so you might want to consider ordering quite a bit more than you think you need. The average consumption rate is ~3ml/day so plan accordingly to give you enough time to reorder before you run out. There's also an ECF Australian forum, so if you get 5 or more posts you can ask specific questions from experienced vapers in your region of the world.

I have to second the cartomizer recommendation. Even though I have my own office and could drip, the carto's allow me to refill once a day when I find the time, and then throw everything in my kit and out the door I go. Getting in the hot tub for a couple of hours, grab the kit. Road trip, grab the kit. Going to work, grab the kit. If it had a spoon and a lighter in it, I would surely be mistaken for an H-kit.

I just got the same eGo starter kit delivered last night. It is my first e-cig also. I bought about 4 10ml bottles with it. So far I filled a mega cart w/ raspberry and a 510 with dr. pepper. It was a bit confusing at first but the videos on youtube help a lot. Anyways, I found that the 5 pre-filleds it comes with are actually really tasty. After I vaped it for a while, I had an analog before I went to bed last night and it tasted horrible. The pre-filled it comes with have a pretty rich flavor that already tastes better to me than my old analogs.

So far, because I am learning, I cant get my self-filled carts to have as full of a hit as the pre-filled ones it comes with. I need to keep practicing. And I guess if I would have thought of it, I would have ordered a bunch more pre-filled to get me through the learning curve.

I have never been happier since I got this yesterday. I am amazed at how satisfying it is and I am so excited to get completely analog free. Good luck to you!

I was thinking that same thing last night as I unpacked and set up my PCC. The syringes I have to fill carts probably wont help either when a cop rolls up on me as I am sitting there with the kit in my lap setting up a new cart.:D
