Hi. I am new to the forum and recently extinguished my last analogue cigarette. I started with a Janty Neo (known as the Twisp Neo here in SA), as that is all they had at the stall I passed in my local shopping mall. What a revelation... I have not had or wanted an old fashioned cig in 3 weeks. Only problem is that the juices here are quite expensive. I am keen to try DIY but can't seem to find a local supplier of nicotine liquid... Are there any South Africans out there who know of a supplier?

I am also a bit confused about our local legislation. In the South African section of the forum there are discussions dating from a while ago about consignments being blocked at customs and nicotine only being allowed to be sold from pharmacies... Yet the stall I bought my e-cig from was in a major shopping centre. They are definitely not a pharmacy and did not appear to be hiding any of their e-juice stock. There are also quite a few local websites that sell e-juice... I just cant seems to find the larger, more concentrated bottles of nicotine liquid required for DIY.

Anyway.. looks like a great forum with loads of useful info.

(I think it would have been more appropriate to post the South Africa questions in the South African section of the forum but need to get past the 5 post rule first:))

Hoezit Jamo;)

Well done for going smoke free! :thumb:

There are quite of a lot of online ZA vendors, I suppose it comes down to how much you trust the postal system and the safety of the payment systems. I know my Mom has to send everything using registered mail, bless her heart, she trusts courier services even less and asking her to make any payments online fills her with abject horror. She's always telling us "It's not like the UK you know...(lecture + weekly crime/horror story - as featured in Huisgenoot)..ag *sigh* you are so lucky you are there!", as if the rest of world lives in perfect harmony.

We have a few expats on the forum as well as locals, Dragonbone is really knowledgeable about what's available and where/how to get hold of/import stuff. I'm sure she'll be keen to help too. I have noticed most South Africans import their nicotine liquid, I'm not sure you can buy it easily out there and I think it's cheaper to import it.
Just really wanted to say welcome to ECF and have loads fun.:)

Haha. thanks Meli... or is it 'Liewe Heksie'... now that is a blast from the past.

I used to be an ex-pat in the UK, but missed SA too much. It really isn't as bad as what they show on the international news :)

I will look out for Dragonbone... i would appreciate any help I can get at the moment. I would like to support our local suppliers as much as possible but there just seems to be so much more choice if you go to the American and European websites (and manage to sneak it past customs).

Hi there. Been looking for an excuse to post in the new members forum for a while now - can't post in the SA forum yet..
Your best bet is to try eCiggies - Electronic Cigarettes | Vaporizers | e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes | Electronic Cigarettes. They're about this best here. Walter is extremely helpfull and their prices are good. You can find just about everything you need there and they do next day speedservices. Do yourself a favour and move over to an ego setup or go the whole hog and get an APV with a Vivi Nova, or even better, he's got a really good price on Vapeonly BCC's.
Good luck. I gave up the stinkies 14 months ago and can get pretty much all the supplies I need right here in SA!
