Another new guy saying hello. There are obviously a million of these, but everyone has their story, and pride in making the switch:)

I'm 31 years old and have been smoking since i was 16, I really don't want to calculate how much money is spent in those years.
I've heard about e-cigs from time to time, and a few months ago i even tried one that my friend has. It was one of those automatic "made to look like a cigarette" type things - which both me and my friend found to be pointless and proceeded to light our next cigs.

Then a little over two weeks ago, i was cruising a music forum, and there was a thread entitled "any smokers switch to vaping yet"
Reading all of the positive results made me more curious about it, and i ended up ordering an ego twist kit and a few juices from sweet-vapes.
I received my twists 13 days ago, and that is also how long it has been since i last had a cigarette.
I didn't even have an active plan on quitting - I got them more to still my curiosity, but after realizing that switching to only vaping has taken me absolutely no will-power to accomplish, I think that not keeping at it would be foolish.

The notion of saving money seems to have to wait for a while though, as there are as many choices on toys with vaping as there are with music - another "hobby" in which to suffer from GAS (gear aquisition syndrome)
Much to try still:)

Welcome to ECF and a big congrats on making the switch. Like many of us here, you have the transition to be almost effortless....amazing, isn't it?! You've come on board at a perfect time as the technology in this industry has exploded ~ we now have so many choices and endless configurations with which to appease our nicotine habit.

Enjoy the ride!

OH good for you. You did good. Welcome to ECG. You will like the twist. I have a 1000mah twist. Don't beat yourself up on the acquisition of toys. LOL Cuz I did. I had a perfectly good setup and upgraded with in a couple of weeks. In my own defense I did have a problem that turned out to be my bad. On thing I dislike is that almost nothing comes with instructions. So I had to make a popping noise when I had a battery problem. Didn't know that if you hit the button real fast 5 times it went to sleep. LOL
Welcome feel free to ask questions. That is one of the reasons for this all.
I don't want to overwhelm you but here is some stuff you may find useful.
On vaping volts and ohms by them selves mean little. WATTS are a key. You want between 4-8 watts.
Here is a chart and a calculator you may find usefull: View attachment 140711 P2seQ.jpg
There is also a calculator I made in XL early on to help. The formula for watts is Volts Squared divided by ohms.

It truely is amazing, and thank you.
It has been enjoyable so far, and I have spent lots of time on reviews and such gathering information
Guess i have to try lots of things to find what suits me best though.

Thanks.
My twists work well, and they came with the vision ego clearomizers, so it has atleast been quite easy so far.
Thanks for the info on wattage too, with the voltages I have been running it seems that I prefer around 7.5 watts for now.
I guess that is a bit dependant on the type of juice, type of device, and airy vs tight draw aswell - good thing to be able to adjust.

I have never been a fan of that chart, and I don't know where that guy came up with that.
There are a lot of people that regularly and consistently vape well over 8 watts.

I generally vape at or above 10 watts or higher.
I use standard Joye 510 atomizers and they last for months and months.

Thanks everybody:)

I don't really mind spending some money, my break-even day will have to wait.
I am very skilled in persuading myself that i should buy stuff infact, must be why i have so many juice samples coming.
I tell myself that i need to find the best flavors to keep from smoking, and I believe me too:laugh:
