New vaper and new member

Hi Im Jeff from Chicagoland. I used to smoke cigs and switched to pipes and cigars. I just made the leap to vaping about 6 weeks ago. Being an ex-piper, Im loving all the flavored juices and equipment options. That was part of the fun for me with pipes....different blends and equipment made it hobby-like, but it was horrible for my health. I havent smoked any tobacco since I switched, and I even got my Mom to switch to vaping after 45 years of cigs!

Ha! yep. I would always be excited to get new tins in the mail and I loved trying all the different blends and flavors. I have several pipes that are designated to specific blend types. Now Im getting just as excited by researching different juices and getting them in the mail! Plus, the wifey is happier about not having stinky Latakia smoke in the house Lol!

Welcome to ECF Jeff, and wahooooooo on quitting the bakky!!! also on getting your mom to switch, that's amazing!! I smoked 36+ years, so I know how hard it is to kick after a long time. Is your mom on ECF? After 35yrs plus of smoking, I discovered vaping about 6 weeks ago and not smoked since. I'd never even heard of the term "Vaping". I'd seen the electric cigarette type things and tried one once but it was certainly no substitute for a good 'ol roll-up. Got myself an E-Grip and I think I actually prefer it to smoking. I never actually had any intention of quitting smoking, I love smoking, but now it seems I love vaping more. I'm tempted to "upgrade" to something better though as I think maybe the whole experience can be improved upon?

Thanks for the greetings everyone! I also did not intend on quiting smoking when I got into vaping, just like CTOAUN. I still have some good pipe backy in the drawer, and a couple stogies.... It's just that I enjoy vaping so much, that I haven't WANTED to smoke!

My first setup was an Itaste v3 with an Iclear 16D. I liked it and I saw some Newport flavored juice at my local B&M. My Mom smoked Newports, so i grabbed a bottle of it for her to try. She was so impressed with it, that the next day she went out and bought an Itaste v3 and Kanger Aerotank from her local B&M, and she hasn't smoked since!

Since then I've upgraded to an Istick 30, and a Nautilus Mini, and also a GS Air (which I like better than the Mini). They all work sooo much better than my first set-up, that I ordered a second Istick 30 and GS Air to give to my Mom to try. Im gonna drive out to her house today to give it to her as a surprise present.

Unfortunately, my Mom is not a computer person, so she's not on the forum.
