hi guys I'm new to vaping. I am three weeks without a cigarette. I am 20 years old. I am worried I have copd I have constant mucus in my Throat 24 / 7 I spit up in the morning and so on during the day. That's a symptom of copd. I'm kind of scared about it honestly. I just went for a x ray on my my head. To check my sinus and stuff like that because they think it might be allergies but what if it isn't. Does anyone on here have copd? Does this sound like anything familiar?

Welcome to ECF!

I have heart related issues but not COPD. Note that ECF is not a medical forum and as such I would be reluctant to accept medical advice solely from this forum.

X-Rays on you head are not going to reveal whether or not you have COPD or allergies.

Another thing....I have had allergies all my life and I've never heard of xrays to detect this. And allergist can help you determine if in fact it is allergies but not by xrays. They do a skin test with about 100 different types of samples to see if there is a reaction.
Everyone is miss understanding me. They did it on my face, to see if I have anything wrong in my nose . Excess mucus and all of that. It was a cat scan

Ok, then they were looking for something other than allergies.
I have the same post nasal drip that is always running down the back of my throat(due to allergies) and if I don't take the 'meds' I have a coughing fit to expel the mucous(involuntary).
Lot of drs will try to give an expensive medicine, such as zyrtec to help relieve the symptoms. Insurance used to pay for this....but it is now over the counter. The generic version of this is much cheaper and works exactly the same. But the dr's won't tell you this unless you bring it up. The generic name for Zyrtec is cetirizine and can be found at Sams club for something like $13 + for 370 pills as opposed to Zyrtec @ $30 + for like 25 pills. Cetirizine can also be found at any pharmacy, just ask the pharmacist.

I do have COPD. Have had it for years, long before I started vaping. It has actually gotten a lot less severe since I've taken up vaping. But I have found that I have a low tolerance for VG. I started lung hitting with higher VG juices and my lungs began to load up with mucus again just as you described.
Finally had to back off the airflow, go back to MTL and start using 50/50 mix. Pretty much took care of the problem for me.

See I don't think mine has anything to do with vaping cause this was happening before I was vaping. Yanno
