Hey guys, I've been wandering around these forums the last couple days. I saw an ad on TV for the "American Blue Tip" ecig and decided to look into it. I just placed an order for a Joye 510 starter kit from Cignot and some juice from TheVaporRoom. They should be here in a few days hopefully!

Not sure why I'm even posting here yet since I don't have much to say. I'm still a bit lost in all the info out there but I found ZeeCig's videos to be extremely helpful (but his prices to be a bit high lol). I guess I'm just posting because I'm pretty excited/nervous/anxious about this whole thing. I'd really like to stop smoking analog cigarettes (BTW, why are they called analog?). Now, I'm not trying to quit smoking entirely... Strange as it may seem, I enjoy smoking. But... if these ecigs are truly a cheaper and healthier alternative, I see no reason not to switch to them. :)

Oh, and I've been smoking for about 7 years (I'm only 25). I figured it'd be better to get off the analog cigs while I'm young. Maybe I haven't caused too much damage already...

So... yea. That's all I have to say I guess. I look forward to being a part of this community!

Grats on your healthier choice! You'll really like the 510, IMO. It's what I started with, and although some members would have recommended something else, they'll be glad you didn't fall for the Blu. ;)

They're called "analogs" because you are moving on to "digital", and it makes it easier to distinguish between them in conversation. You could also use the term "stinkies" if you prefer.

Thanks! Yea, I thought the Blu looked pretty awesome at first. Good thing I did some research before buying their started kit.... I ended up with the 510 mainly because of ZeeCig's YouTube videos. Man, that guy has a great series of videos for people who are new to all this like I am.

Ah ok, now I understand why they are called "analogs". I'd rather say "stinkies" though. haha :D

OMG you will be sooooooo happy the first day in I swear.... best of luck and say hello to cleaner air....

I better be! lol just kidding. I am really excited though! I know it's not truly quitting, but it seems to be a much cheaper and healthier alternative. I'm just tired of spending so much money on analogs that destroy my lungs...

Well, are you wanting to quit SMOKING, or NICOTINE? Even then, you can work your way down to 0mg nic juice if you like. You'll have a much higher success rate for either, than any of BPs methods. Plus, you'll really enjoy the different flavors available.

Welcome Slom. I know what you mean about the nervous anticipation of starting this journey and that's a good thing. I, like you, wasn't intending to 100% quit when I received my starter kit but that's what I ended up doing as I enjoyed my new toy too much. Others are happy to just cut down on analogs and that's fine too. Whatever road you travel, enjoy vaping and keep us posted.

My short-term goal is to stop using analog cigs... Eventually, I'll probably work my way off nicotine too.

And yes, I'm pretty excited to try out all the different flavors too. :D

SlomChom, I'm kind of in the same boat as you are, been smoking for >30 years, and need to try to quit. So far I'm not liking my starter kit flavor of choice, so I'm getting some blank carts & juice shipped in, hope those are better.

Heh, I made sure to buy some empty carts and a sample pack of juice too. That order should be here around the same time as the ecig starter kit. Just making sure that I have everything I'll need... lol

Welcome to the forums! I'm glad you found us and hope you'll stick around. This place is a wealth of experience and up to date information. I also considered Blu at first but went with SmokeTip. Either way, I've graduated to a harder hitting fat battery, but still an 808. Hope you like your new toys!

Thanks! I'm sure I'll stick around here. This place seems to be the best place to find info about ecigs. While searching for reviews of different brands, I found tons of seemingly fake review sites all saying that every brand is awesome.

Oh yea, I'll be keeping you guys posted. I'm just very curious to see how this ecig compares to an analog one. I'll be trying to dump analog cigs for good in the near future (depends on how much I like the ecig).

Side note: Well, placed my order at Cignot a couple hours ago and it's already been updated to "Shipped"! So excited... lol

It is!! I found this place a few days ago and have learned quite a lot already. My first modal is a cheap 401 ripoff that doesn't vape too well, but I still haven't touched an analog since.

I'll be joining the modding section more and more as I tend to be a little bit of an electronic tinker'r lol

Good luck with it. I myself smoked over a large pack a day and haven't touched them since. Once my Joye510 arrives tomorrow I'll be so happy. The videos on that model show tons of vape, can't wait to use it!

Hey man. You're really going to enjoy the 510, much better choice than the blu. A word of advice though, if you have an extra 20 bucks order the PCC (personal charging case) right now. The 510 battery life is crap once you start vaping frequently, and when I had one I was always switching batteries in and out of the charger. If I went out for the day I was pretty guaranteed to run out of battery. Eventually I switched to the eGo (180mAh on the 510, 650mAh on the eGo, but MUCH larger size).

This is really only a problem if you're trying to switch completely too. So if you find yourself really enjoying your PV but your battery isnt cutting it for you, consider the 510 mega or the eGo

One last thing, I recommend starting to look at reviews of juice as well as cartridge mods. I suggest Johnson Creek or Backwoods Brews for juice, and the pyramid teabag mod for your carts. The polyfill that comes in them is awful and tastes like crap if its not completely soaked in juice.

I bought the starter kit that comes with a PCC. I figured that it would be terrible to be out somewhere and run out of battery power lol. I also didn't want to have to worry about bringing my wall charger to friends' houses.

I saw the eGo, but was really put off by it's size. For now, I wanted to use a PV that is closer in size to an actual analog cig. Thanks for the tip about the pyramid teabag mod. I'll definitely be checking that out. Oh, and the 510 Mega sounds interesting... Do you have a link to a site that provides a decent review about it?

Right now, I'm smoking a little under a pack a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I can definitely tell it's time to ditch analog cigs though. I'm starting to get a bit of the "smoker's cough" lol. I'm jealous that your's is arriving tomorrow! Mine should be here in a few days or so (I think). I made sure to opt in for the Priority Mail upgrade. :)

I was able to find a local supplier that's only about an hour and a half away from me. Smokers cough? Yeah I remember when that started years ago. Now I'm at the point of random minor chest pains (pinches) and dull aches up the neck. So with these symptoms, I knew it was time for a change. And with the help of a PV, I can honestly say the future looks, smells, tastes and feels much better lol.
