I have been a smoker for 26 years.. A Marlboro Red smoker, about a pack and a half a day. I just quit cigarettes on July 3 and started with smoketip 16 mg.. not sure it's enough nicotine but I want it low due to wanting to be done with all of it. Figure I will do the 16mg then go to 12mg, then 6mg and hopefully be done with it all, that's the plan anyway...lol

Welcome to ECF Mandy! Sounds like you're on the right track. I would focus on two things at this point - are you getting enough nicotine to adequately curb craving and will the ecig you are using drive you crazy with short battery life/constant need to top off carts or buy new profiled carts? I'm not familiar with the Smoketip ecig brand, but they do seem to be a lot like the mall kiosk ecigs which most people end up disliking. If it is working good for you now, fine. 16 mg/ml of nicotine is not bad. I was a cigar smoker and started with 24 mg of nic and found it too much, I switched to 18 mg and was much happier. Wishing you success.

Welcome to vaping my friend,congrats!
Don't rush to get low on nicotine, because eventually you will go back to high concentration or quit vaping.
Start with 24mg or 18mg and don't push yourself to lower it.If you want to control thw amount of nicotine you inhale, try to also have with you a 0mg juice. When you feel the need for nicotine, just do a couple of puffs with the 18mg juice and then go back to 0mg juice. But most of all, don't push yourself.

It's not the nicotine that's killing you anyway, so why worry about that? I started at 24, dropped to 18 and now use 12-15mg. My original plan was to get rid of the nic completely, but I don't worry about that at all anymore, and frankly don't care if I ever get rid of the nicotine. I'm 7 months in and feel 20 years younger already! Getting rid of the stinkys is the important part. Congrats on your quit, and keep up the good work!!

Thank you all for the advice need all I can get. Can't believe how many choices are out there and how confusing it all seems... I'm at 9 days vaping now no analogs. I just ordered 10.. 16mg, 10.. 12mg and 10.. 6mg cartridges and hoping this will do it. I just want to be free of all of it. I don't want to try any other e devise because I'm afraid I will really like it and then will never be done, the one I have now is irritating takes a lot to get anything out of it and the batteries run down pretty quick. So far the smoke tip seems to be just what I was looking for gives me what I need so I don't need cigs and it's a pain in the but...lol :)
