I started back a while ago on a EGO and thought I'd grow into it. Its a bit harsh for me. I looking at the KR8 because i want a lighter hit, and more flavor.

Now when i researched last fall i was all vapor production and TH now id like vapor but mild TH. Where now a days is the best comparable ecig on these terms?

TY for the time

FYI Im on a Riva 510 which I like but its so harsh to me, tried the VG juice no differnce i think its to hot. I smoke marb lights 2 pqcks aday so no newb . Im not looking for tobacco flavor just a cool vape.

I have bought from Don and he has shown the best flavors ie tried his stuff is great. ON MY Riva but i never CAN GET A CONSISTENT VAPE

510 Spare Atomizer 3.2 ohms Super cool vape on an ego being the ohm's are so high. I own one and like it for that cool vape.

CE2 510 XL Clearomizers ( Pack of 5 ) ( Transparent ) Rev. 4 [VJDA020] - $9.95 : VaporJunction, E-Cigarette Supply Great cool vape on an ego non harsh. I tend to use these a lot at 5 volts to get a slightly warm vapor. Definitely one to check into for the ego.

And last but not least...eGo Mega Cartomizer (Empty) - MyFreedomSmokes.com Super cool vape. Not sure what OHM it is but it doesnt produce warm vapor on my ego.

These are all great options if you want to stick around with your Riva. Another tip before i end this with a 808 suggestion is if sometimes you take a puff and it hurts your throat or lungs try blowing some excess juice out of the carto or atty. I find when my coils get flooded with juice its wayyy harsh.

OK now that i got all that out of the way, if you still really want to try an 808... this place sell's 808 carto's and kits.

I use cartomizers on a Riva 510, but I wanted to try regular 510 Joye batteries just to see what they're like. My experience, besides MUCH shorter battery life, is less consistency, but they are a "cooler" vape.

In my perfect world, I would have hundreds of pre-filled cartomizers and use them for about 4 hours (dripping to keep them topped off), and then use a new one. It seems that the people who use Vapor4Life are very happy - you could buy lots of pre-filled cartomizers and extra juice.

I don't like the peppery feeling or TH much, I just want nicotine. I've had the best luck with fruit flavors to avoid that taste/feeling. I use Cinnabomb (like red hots candy) if I am missing cigarettes. Boge 2.0 cartomizers give me the best simulation of smoking when using a Riva 510, but they change/mute the fruit flavors.

I've got a REO Grand arriving tomorrow so hopefully that will be what brings me constant consistency.

Good luck - hope you find what works great :)

I wouldn't say MUCH shorter battery life, as the standard eGo battery is 650mah and the riva 510 is 700mah. There is a difference in temp/hit as the joye batteries run at a slightly lower voltage.

I think your best bet right now is as posted above, go with a high resistance atomizer (3.2 ohm) and see how it goes for you. If you aren't worried about looks, the MAP tanks from Clouds of Vapor are great for consistency (minus the part where an ego/riva battery lowers voltage as it drains). Holds 2.5ml, 5ml, and 12ml (depending on which one you get) so don't have to fill often. Problem is it's a bit big, looks a little odd on the small Riva batteries (compared to good, but more expensive, mods that are larger).

ty for the info. I guess i need to try a cartomizer on my riva but it seems so harsh. I also kinda miss the auto feature after hearing horror stories. My brothers auto works great but he did buy at a mall and pay 160 beans

What makes you think auto's would be better? TH comes from level of nic, what flavorings used, pg/vg level, and wattage (voltage and resistance). Only thing that auto might change is weaker battery, so probably lower voltage. Also easier to break, more prone to damage from any juice leaks or even water, required primer puff... and a large list of other reasons that manual are better.

I understand that and ty but i kinda got into the Ecigs and miss having the smoke available while i work hands free so my auto fetish i understand i'll lose battery life and maybe some functionl. The key to me is im amazed how much throat hit id getting. Great Vape but wow. ... this is nasty harsh. i do like the manual gets a better hit

Before you go out and buy 808 stuff at least try a regular resistance boge 510 carto imo. You can decrease the th by decreasing the nic level of your juice. If you want more vapor switch to a higher vg% in your juice. I would try this-

https://www.kickbassvapor.com/index...option=com_virtuemart&redirected=1&Itemid=160

I really like kbv tobaccos, great flavor and smooth as silk. 30/70 should wick well in a carto.

Thanks i'll look it up i do think i need a regular looking smoke while ot though. but most of tim eat home so this looks good ty for the info

i realize my pull drag ratio changes constantly maybe i should look into a variable voltage mod/.

Of course, the advantage of vv is being able to dial up the best wattage for your juice and equipment. But if you like cooler vapor you may not need it. I usually use about five seconds for a draw and if I'm using my ego on a 2.4 ohm atty, I'll fire the button about four seconds. Just experiment and don't pay any attention to visible vapor, just taste.

Also, I highly recommend that you research the duel coil cartomizer from smok tech. They're very efficient at producing vapor at relatively cooler temperature. This link has a review if you want to check them out. The 1.5 ohm should work fine on your ego. While you're there, take a look at the e-power for a potential replacement for your ego in the future. hoosierecigsupply.com

For something smaller, the Bloog Maxxfusion has been getting rave reviews. They're a little pricey but they might be worth it.

Factors in TH, as mention above, include

The atty/cart. Not only the make/model but also the OHMs.
Flavors
Nic level - nic is a bit harsh. More nic = more TH
PG/VG ratio.
Voltage

Auto vs manual doesn't really matter other than since auto batteries are slower to respond, you get a little less vapor. The look of the device doesn't matter as much performance wise, but the voltage and lifetime vary according to the specs. kr808's have a bit more oomph at 3.7 volts than the eGo and standard 510s at 3.2. All the cig-sized super-mini batteries last about an hour. Bloog gets a lot of good reviews at the moment, but I haven't tried em.

Do the math. V * V / R where V is battery voltage, R is the atty/carto resistance. This gives you watts (like a light bulb rating) and will tell you how hot the atty gets (to a point, hotter = smoother since it atomizes better).

Post #13 nailed the juice TH factors.

First off 510 atomizers will fit on the eGo you have. They are available in a lot of different resistances. So, you might want to try a couple different ones before getting a whole new PV. As far as peppery flavor that's more the juice than what you're running it though and you're kind of all over the map on what you want there. I'm not sure whether you want more throat hit or less at this point.

You do realize that an no matter what you get, it's going to be significantly heavier than a cigarette right? Just because it's an auto battery doesn't mean you'll be comfortable holding it in your mouth.
