KR8 is 3.7v and not a lighter hit than Ego if you use standard res stuff on the Ego. If you want a lighter hit on Ego then just don't use LR attys and cartos on it. Put some standard resistance Boge cartos on it. And buy juice that has some VG in it. I like 20-30% VG.

Re auto batteries - buy spares because they are easy to kill. And remove your atty or carto when you are not using it because wind or vibration can turn them on.

When I wrote MUCH shorter battery life, I was writing about regular Joye batteries, not an Ego, as someone thought.

If you want to try auto batteries, myPVshop has this FS 510 kit for $19.79 after discount code: myPVshop Electronic Cigarettes - The Joye510 Electronic Cigarette 10% off code: ECF10

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-79-ego-kits-29-69-plus-free-kit-contest.html

I bought two of those kits for friends, one with auto batteries and one with manual. They are really nice, but with regular use, you have to switch batteries every few hours, or more often.

Don't get the FS 510. Somebody said its batteries/charger are opposite polarity from all other 510s (which means you could melt the other's batteries in the charger). If you are going to get a 510 get a real Joye 510 at Cignot.com ($36 for a no-box kit) or elsewhere.

Yes, there is a warning in the box that says to only use the charger that comes with it with those batteries, but since the OP has a Riva now, that charger couldn't be used anyway.

I haven't read all the posts, but if no one has suggested it and you're looking for a KR808 slim style PV... Spend the money and go with the Bloog MaxxFusion. Pricey, but worth it. Just check the Bloog section of this forum if you need more convincing.

Keep in mind, the batts and cartos are designed to work together, so stick with the OEM parts and don't waver. If you clean your cartos using hot water and a childrens oral medical dispenser syringe, you can get LOTS of life out of a single cartomizer.

Now many places carry the regulated MF style batteries and new cartos, so you might be able to save some dough when you're getting replacements. I think Nhaler is in your neck of the woods, and carries the new stuff ;)

The batts are usually listed as "MF style batteries" And the new cartos are usually listed as "dripper style cartos" OR "horizontal coil style cartos", just FYI.
