Hi all, been vaping since January and recently bought a 75w sigelei, used to have a subox but stopped as I was using too much juice££$$. So figured I'd save this time and do my own. I made a 20pg/80vg batch and it was very harsh,no fruit flavours. Since Capella concentrates are pg based would I need to add as much as a calculator says. One said about 2ml pg,but I've downloaded juicemeup and input my flavouring as pg based, calculation said I don't need to add any pg,would this be right and what's it going to taste like?

Thanks for your help

The pg in the flavoring needs to be taken into account when doing your ccalculations. If you're adding more than 20 percent flavoring you'll have more pg than a 80 20 mix. Sounds like the app did that and adding additional pg would be overkill. Pg is thinner vg is thicker. Vg has a naturally semi sweet taste (I vape 100 vg unflavored mostly)

Hello @Kendo42 and welcome to the forum. Trust the ejuicemeup calculator. Most flavorings are pg based so if you are using 20% flavor and your nic is vg based then the calculations are correct, you would not add any pg.

As to the harshness, nicotine level is one possible reason. Make certain you have the nicotine entered into the calculator correctly. As to the flavor, you can use too much of a flavor and it would "mute" the flavor. Also some flavors take time to steep (meld) before they become vapeable.

Hey Kendo... click my profile and check my blog post. There is a consolidated post with a TON of diy info that @Sir2fyablyNutz put together before I stole it and dropped it in my blog. It's super helpful for all things DIY!

Actually, I'll just drop the link here for ya!
