Thanks chaps, I'm hoping this OCC business will be good enough, I did try making my own coils for a while but its not for me (sausage fingers). Also going to start off with quite a high nic to get me through the first few weeks
Absolutely. If you start feeling nauseous lay off and lower nicotine, but you should be fine with that. I smoked about 30 per day when I quit and started with 24 mg for about a month and worked my way down slowly.

Yes, they are. I quickly switched to ProTanks. The glass and steel just has better flavor. Might just be in my head, but I think I can taste the plastic in those tanks.

This is the thing it needs to be the path of least resistance as I know myself and I have no willpower! I would pull the cheapo plastic thing out of my pocket, get the fluff out of the mouthpiece and if it didn't fire or tasted like fish or whatever I'd just end up buying cigarettes.

If you're not into this as a hobby, carto tanks are cheap easy and reliable.
I never had good luck with those. Tried different types, but they would always flood on me and could never get a good airflow. Could have been me, just didn't like them.

Sorry to hear that. Many of us have worked thru that stage by using techniques similar to fixing the leaks and airflow problems in other toppers.
Maybe you understand more about such things and might be able to solve those issues now. Most people are overwhelmed with their first toppers and learn to figure it out better down the road.
You're absolutely correct on that. It was one of my first tanks and was frustrating. I believe I could probably make it work now that I have more of an understanding of the whole process.

OK so I've just been into the vape shop to buy some juice, the guy said that with the .5 ohm head I'll need a very high VG juice or it'll just burn off too quick. I ended up buying a 50/50 20mg and a high vg 6mg juice (90+).
I put the 50/50 in and he said i'll need to run it below 9w for this juice, I've tried that and the experience is......meh. put it up to 15 and I can hear crackling a little bit but it seems much better. Is he talking rubbish? Am I potentially damaging the device running it at 15?

My needs are a 4.5ml tank mostly and inexpensive coils. GSAir?? Version M, S?Crackling doesn't mean bad things all the time. Mostly burnt and dry hits are your limits. Just adjust to where it tastes good??
