After using a Nicolite rechargeable I got from Tesco, and after much reading of this site I decided to upgrade to an Ego Twist, which I should be getting in the post shortly.

After looking around for e-liquid online, most places have it at around £5 per 10ml, give or take... (not really interested in mixing my own this early)... Is this a decent price?

I've read so much about how vaping saves you loads of money compared to cigs, but it seems the basic price for a 10ml bottle is around £5, and the average person seems to use this within 2 days (according to my reading of this place)... I probably spent less on tobacco.

Hi Stu,

The better flavoured/UK mixed e-liquids do tend to be more expensive - usually about the £12 mark for a 30ml bottle. However, you can buy Dekang or Hangsen juice for far less. Plus it sort of depends on how many cigarettes you smoked to how much you get through.

Hey Stu,

A lot of people say around 2ml per day, others use more or less. I'm trying to kick a 20 marlboro red per day habit, and am currently getting my way through a 10ml bottle of 24mg Virginia I bought 2 weeks ago. I still have about 1/4 of the bottle left. Granted, I've not been vaping constantly, and still trying to work my way off the stinkies, but I've never found I use a huge amount, even when I did manage to quit analogs altogether!

The mini nova I use for a tank says it holds 2ml, and I'll generally top it up once a day...but the juice does seem to last me a lot longer than most.

The reduced cost of vaping is a long term one. The initial purchase of equipment and trying juices will be the same or more expensive than smoking, but once you get your setup sorted, it should work out cheaper. Even if it doesn't...it ALWAYS will work out healthier! :)

Hope that helps.

Thanks, I've done a lot more reading reading today, and things are starting to make sense now.

Agreed on the initial spending... I bought a £20 nicolites kit last week (1 battery and 2 cartos and usb charger), after asking someone on here, I ended up buying a Sky Cigs kit for £10 (1 battery, 3 cartos, usb and Ac charger), and then I went and bought the Ego twist kit for £35, (1 battery, 2 atos, 3 tanks) and some e-liquid to go!

I'm hoping I can settle with the Twist and use the Nicolite and SKy cig as backups, and not have to bother for a while now. I'm assuming I can refil the Used Cartos I have from the Kits. Will they also work with the Twist?

I'm pretty gutted at the minute though because my Niolites Carto's have run out, and I have to wait for the Twist and Sky Cig in the post... Probably gonna be Tuesday with the bank holiday. Probably should go buy some refils at Tesco til then!

I started with Vaporlites and i thought they were ok but soon got wise and bored of the taste as it wernt that good really. Then i did more research and got a ROK kit (looked at sky cig) but ROK got good reviews and it is pretty impresive if you want sumit that looks and feels like a real cig, very good.

But then i just ditched the want for something that looks like a cig and just went for an Ego T and it is just better in every way for flavour and vapour, much more satisfying and really helps you to stop the cigs.

Found a e liquid vendor called paradise vape thats really good, reasonable prices and he always sends you a sample of sumit else you wouldnt normally order and the Regal juice (Regal King size was my cigs) was quite realistic :) vaping it now :)

Im gonna move on to a bigger MOD soon.

Ive been vaping 2 months now but not really touched a cig in that time, enjoy vaping more :) its took me this long to learn all the different way of doing it and lingo and stuff haha

Just bumping this.

Received my Twist and after lots of fiddling around trying to piece it together, I think it's pretty cool. I ordered it from Totally Wicked and it came with some 18mg Titan Tobacco, which if I'm honest, tastes terrible. I have a few more bottles on order from TW, hopefully I'll enjoy them more. Out all all the flavours I've tried, I much prefer what I was getting from My Nicolite rechargeable... I'd love to know if anyone knows of one that's been made like it?

In relation to delivery, do all deliveries from UK companies require a signature? Or is this just a TW thing? It's a bit of the pain missing the delivery and having to wait 40 hours to pick it up from the Sorting Office.

When I order juice or small parts (wick/mesh etc) from vendors like Vape Escape or Liberty Flights they normally come in a jiffy bag and are popped through the letter box.
I suppose it depends on the vendor and size/value of the package but there is no law as far as I know that means nicotine related products have to be signed for (which was in the back of my mind to be honest).

There's a lot of companies who require a signature. They've probably been fleeced by people saying "it hasn't turned up". I wouldn't avoid TW because of that.

There's loads of different tobacco "flavours" out there. I liked Totally Wicked's Red Label one to start with. A few of my mates like vapingliquids' Tobacco but I couldn't stand it; you might. (I hardly touch tobacco flavours now)

I think Decadent Vapours and FlavourArt(UK) do sample packs of tobacco juices, try ordering some from them.

Yes, if your cartos fit, use them. See if that company do juice.

Ok, so yesterday I got the 2 bottles of eliquid from TW delivered, I thought I was good to go, but still, I'm having problems...

I'm using the tanks that came with the Twist, so I popped the top off and 3/4 filled one of the tanks. screwed it in and took a few hits, but after an hour of not so heavy vaping, I started to get nasty, low 'smoke' filled hits. I took out the tank and noticed it was looking pretty low on juice, and some of the inside casing and atomoizer had gotten a little juice on it.

I filled the Tank again and same thing happened within an hour I'll run out of juice at this rate!

I there a way to stop this happening? Should I be looking at investing in a new tank and atomizers already?

Stu, I'm guessing as you bought your Twist kit from TW, you are referring to tank type cartridges that fit on an atomiser head? If so, IMHO, you would do far better to try an evod -

Kanger EVOD BC Clearomiser £5.95 - Vaping Spares - Tanks & Accessories Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

They work really well & look good on a Twist :) And the replacement heads work out at only a couple of quid each -

EVOD Atomiser Heads (5) £9.95 - Vaping Spares - Tanks & Accessories Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

If you have a look through this list of good UK e-cig vendors, you might find them even cheaper than above.
