My dad wanted me to come by and let you know he is ok and will be back. He wanted me to stop in and let all his friends know that they are not forgotten.

My dad has been smoking since I was born. Every day I see him cough and hack and not feel very well. One day I came home and saw him smoking his electronic cigarette and thought it was a good idea. Since he started, he no longer coughs his head off in the morning.

I never started smoking and I am glad I didn't. I watched him struggle for most of my life trying to quit, only to go back to the cigarettes. Since he started using his fake cigarette, he told me he finally found something that may save his life.

I know about what the country is doing to get rid of them. I think it's a bad move.

He finished one of his videos he wants me to post for him later. You don't know how many times I come home to see him talking to himself. It's funny.

Being not much older than a teenager, I don't think I'd see myself trying one of those things just to look cool. It actually would make me look like a dork, the guy on campus with the plastic cigarette in his mouth.

He told me he got into a fight with someone and got temporarily banned. He feels bad about it.

I have to laugh every time I see my dad wearing that stupid cowbow hat. It was actually mine that I bought at a yard sale last year for 50 cents. I was going to throw it away but he took it.

I love e-cigs, but I'd never pick one up because they're cool or recommend it to a non-smoker! Though they do come in handy if there's a power outage.

I hope Pat does pick up an e-cig one day and hand it off to a smoker. My Mom's been a smoker for 50 years. She's been a vaper for just a few months and it is the ONLY thing that ever worked (and she tried everything). We get so excite for ourselves, but it's even more exciting when you see the people you love finally getting free from cigarettes.

I know that. My dad has been venting for months now about how this country is going to hell and that people are letting it happen. He is right. I graduated from high school with high honors and I am still looking to find a meager job as a burger flipper. There is nothing out there.

I remember that Valedictorian speech we had about how you could be whatever and you can do whatever. I learned now that was nothing more than a pep talk full of bull.

I really don't want that hat back. The dog peed on it and I was throwing it away. But my dad took it and cleaned it. But still.
