Diy can be tricky - particularly with cinnamon. Retired and Brother Bob gave you some good links. Maybe pick up a bottle at a local vape shop before experimenting?

DIY isn't complicated but not the easiest thing in the world to get a flavor you love right away. Make sure to measure- and write everything down. Nothing worse than making a liquid you love and forgetting how you made it.

Good luck!

Hello and welcome to the forum @prophet.pit33. Glad to have you here!:)

Bakery flavorings - the ones you can get at the grocery - generally aren't used in DIY. Some contain oils, some contain sugar, both of which are not safe to vape with. Many contain water, which doesn't vape well in high concentrations. Most home baking flavorings are also too dilute to be very useful in DIY juice.

The exception is Lorann candy flavorings. Most of these are safe to use, as long as they do not contain oil. However, there are better concentrated flavorings available to DIY (see below). LorAnn Flavors- COLOR CODED Complete Ingredients List.

For all things DIY head on over to the DIY ELiquid Forum. Lots of great info in all the "stickies". Below is the information I often give to members new to DIY.
  • Dannyv45's blogs will give insight into all aspects of DYI, from steeping to what supplies to have on hand to a basic walk through mixing your first E-juice. => dannyv45 - Blogs
  • Hoosier's blogs concentrate on fine tuning your mix and give insight on additives. =>Hoosier - Blogs
  • For a juice mixing calculator consider using eJuiceMeUp
Here are some threads you may like to read through for different flavoring companies. Many of the posts include recipes and comments about a specific flavor.

yeah, it's sort-of like trying to become a shoot-from-the-hip film photographer as soon as possible, yknow? so, basically, you won't know what your going to end-up-with, until you've already mixed the liquids and you're ready to taste, right? So, do what the photogs do, and keep a notebook. write down EVERYTHING you did, with each and EVERY recipe. The 1st recipe i got right, was my DIY keylime pie, with graham cracker crust and a cooling sensation on exhale (i used keylime, graham cracker, sweetener, and crisp) came out great, after repeated tries, with many, maany, overpowering graham cracker recipes, and many overpowering keylime recipes, before getting it just right. :) I have it all written down, so i can go back to my notes and make my perfect mix again and again.

ONE suggestion i DO have, is to utilize recipes already created by seasoned DIY'ers. There are plenty of websites for us DIY'ers where we can BORROW and STEAL recipes from 1-another! ;) ENJOY these sites, USE them, and have FUN!!! :D Enjoy the vape journey! I know you will! & definitely try making a keylime pie sometime, it's deeelicious! ;)

OK I made a small booboo.. I picked up just 1 bottle of anise pure extract..Watkins brand..100% natural..ingredients are alcohol 79% ,water, oil of anise.. Do I try to mix it with vg like I saw on utube?? I saw the guy use 11-drippers worth of vg n it practically filled the bottle n he put anise just to the line of the bottle before the neck...
