First of all, I hope I am starting this thread in the correct section. I am relatively new to vaping, full time at least. I have been smoking and vaping together for about 5months. I have been a smoker for 20yrs+ and switched to vaping full-time in the last month and in fact, as of today, 1mth smokefree:). I love vaping and all the benefits it brings. My taste buds 'woke up' after about 10days and came back fully in about 2wks. I noticed this one night while eating a Chinese takeaway that myself and GF get every Sat. I get the same order every week and the taste and flavours that night where just delicious!!.
I have been trying to 'convert' my GF and she is very slowly but surely coming round to the idea of vaping. She hates having to go out to the garden for a cig on her own..lol. I live in Ireland and as a country, e-cigs are becoming extremely popular. Two shops have opened in my small town in the last few months. The cost of analogs and the poor economy here is a major factor in people switching to vaping. The price of juice(not a great choice) and equipment is still quite high but I expect and hope that as more stores open and more people make the switch, prices should come down. I currently buy most of my equipment and all my juice online(not sure if I can mention the vendor??).
My equipment includes a Vamo v5(E-Huge in the post!!), a Vision Spinner 1300mAh, a Visions Spinner 2 1600mAh. Started with a few Vivi Nova's then I got some Kangers, Protank 1(pro 2 in the post), Pro Mini's 2+3, i30s, Aspire Nautilus on the way and I will soon add a Kayfun Lite clone to my collection. For juice, my favourite is Mount Baker Vapor, which I get from a great vendor in France.
I found this forum, like so many others I'm sure, by googling questions about vaping. 99% of the time, this forum was the first site on the results list. I thought it's about time I pulled the trigger and became a member. I hope to make friends and gather some good information from more experienced vapers and also become friends with fellow newbies like myself.
So that's me and my story, I look forward to chatting with fellow vapers(is that the correct term??), gaining more knowledge reading/reply to the many threads/sections of this great forum.....Ian

Thanks a million everyone for the warm welcome. I thought I had no replies, my email alerts must not be active??. I just started using my Protank 1 with an Aspire adaptor and coils tonight. Brought it back to life. Juice is tasting awesome again. It may seem stupid and it does now but I was a bit 'nervous' making the full switch to vaping. Boy I'm glad I did, vaping like a beast at the moment but hey anythings better than analogs. Thanks again, Ian

Welcome Guppy! I too just became a member after many Google searches kept bringing me here. I started vaping in Feb. after 11 years of smoking and haven't gone back. I also started with a Spinner, added the Vamo V5 (love it!) and started my juice buying with Mt Baker. Loved my protanks and finally started building rda's. I spent the past few weeks perfecting builds on a Nimbus and now that I feel more confident with my microcoils have my first non-clone mech on the way. My Brass Monkee RDA is in the mail, can't wait to take it to the next level. Vapemail waiting it the worst.

Great story, Im also a newbie, smoked yuckies for 35 years. I started vaping 4 day's ago, only had 4 cigarettes yesterday, 2 today, I still can't taste the ejuice yet but thank you for letting me know it will take atleast 10 day's to 2 weeks. I also live in a small town and no vape shops near here, the closest is about an hour away, so I order everything online. It was very nice to meet you Guppy. Hopefully we can add the cigarette ticker to the bottom of our post, Ive been saving money every day of the cigarettes I don't smoke, gives me incentive, but Im sure I will spend it on vaping, hopefully will get my boyfriend to quit the cigarettes. I plan on buying everyone who smokes in my family Ecig's for Christmas, maybe bling them with their favorite football team or their favorite animals, so many possibilities we can do with vaping equipment

After reading Frank McCourt I really don't know what to say. Welcome Guppy. I hope it works out for you.
Thanks CravenA. I honestly can't ever see myself going back to analogs. I will however take it one day at a time but it is nice to reach a milestone like a full month!!

Hi Niane, very nice to meet you too. You halved your cig intake in 24hrs. I find setting small steps/goals is the easiest way to achieve our goals. Working so far for me!!. Your in for a treat when those taste buds wake up from their 35yr coma...lol. Juice I started with now tastes much better/stronger. I'm no expert and maybe more experienced vapers can confirm or dismiss this but I've read that it can take up to 6wks for them to come back fully. I found Mount Baker Vapor a while back and love their juice. High PG doesn't agree with me, so being able to pick the ratio is great. I use 20/80vg. I couldn't find anywhere in Europe that offered this service, so I was importing my liquid directly from the US. This involved paying high shipping and import tax but it still worked out cheaper than analogs. Analogs here cost €9.60($13.50) per 20pk. I was a 20 a day smoker!!. I recently found a vender in France who sells Mount Baker, so I don't have to pay import tax anymore, just shipping, which is very low or free.
That's a great idea buying everyone you know an E-cig. If I done that, I'd need a VERY large loan...lol. However, I am trying one-by-one, 5 so far!!
I have two more questions....
Is it possible to set email notifications when subscribed to a thread or a thread I created and how do I do it??
Are we allowed to mention venders names???. I read the rules but it's all a bit much to take in at once!!
