I registered nearly 4 years a go and have been through loads of devices since I started, I started with an EGO and clearomisers I think.

I am currently having a love/hate(more of a hate/hate) relationship with my kayfun 4 that cost me a small fortune, the funny thing is I bought an original to save myself any hassle and have had many problems. The cost has stopped me from throwing it out!

I smoked heavily before I found ecigs and was told by my doctor that I was heading for a possible stroke if I didnt sort myself out. I consider myself lucky that I am around during the invention of ecigs!!

Ha, cheers. I normally just read the forums. I cant believe it was 4 years ago that i registered.

Regarding my kayfun, it drives me nuts as it sticks alot and I have scratched the hell out of it unsticking it with pliers. I also dropped it and smashed the glass tank :/

My latest problem is the juice control ring just keeps spinning, it wont tighten up the build deck. The only way I can shut the deck is to remove the tank section and push down on the deck while I tighten the ring.

The problem is that as soon as I open the ring to fill the tank, it wont tighten up again. It feels like its going to tighten as I start to feel some resistance as I close it, but then it gets loose again.

Has only just started happening and cant figure it out as nothing has changed, maybe something to do with the spring?

I've got a k4 clone myself.
I did give it a soak;
but it's back in the box it came in.
maybe if the airflow was bigger i'd have tried it.

otherwise it seems a bit on the complicated side; had a bit of a conundrum for awhile after I soaked it trying to put the thing back together!

Well, I have a filling solution for you. Fill through the holes in the bottom of the chimney. Leave your jc fully open, unscrew your base, fill through the bottom of the chimney, put base back on. This will at least get you buy until you can get whatever part(s) you need to fix it.

Sounds like your threads are stripped, so take it apart to verify that is the problem. Here's a couple of hints, though rather late, to help avoid those problems. If you find the JC sticks take it apart again and rotate it 90 degrees and assemble again. That usually helps avoid the JC sticking. Instead of using pliers to take your K4 apart, find a screwdriver that will fit into one of the air holes and use that for leverage when taking the K4 apart.

Thanks for the help. I posted in the kayfun thread with some pics. I agree that it seems like the threads are knackered. Someone posted up a link for me to get some spares that should sort me out.

Thanks rasmith, I originally used an allen key in the holes. I have had the sticking problem since day 1 and found it very annoying! Shame as its looking a bit worse for wear now. I wouldnt have minded so much if it was a clone. With all the parts I have ordered, it will pretty much end up as a clone now anyway.

Oh well, lesson learned. Apart from these problems I do like it as I like the filling method on them makes it easy for me. Although I'm sure there are better mods out now, this is why I avoid these forums too much, gets too expensive chasing all the new stuff !!
