I had a little Chihuahua once...and she played nice with my Gold Retriever, a cat and Ferret that we had at the time! They were all lovey dovey to each other and to me lol, but didn't like strangers.
Maybe the 3 Steph lived with were just an odd bunch!!!:D

Honestly I believe one of them may be handicapped, he was rescued from some very inhumane owners. He likes strangers and stuff he just can't really learn very well and is extremely scared dogs that are bigger than him and will attack (bark aggressively haha) at them. and they are all extremely yappy and sneaky. I would be happy to hear that it's not all chihuahuas..

Are last dog was abused so when we got her there were a lot of issues. We could do anything we wanted with her but strangers beware, and we couldn't really blame her. Early in life she learned not to trust people.

yeah he was like that for a while but now his problem isn't strangers. it's just learning stuff and he has bowel movement problems and can't make it outside a lot of the time. We live in utah so sometimes the chihuahuas need jackets, but if you put one on him he just stands there and shakes. One time we thought he'd get used to it and he didn't move for like an hour til we took it off.

Maybe it was too confining for the poor guy. Have you taken him to a vet to see if there is something physically wrong in regards to his bowels?

yeah more than likely. he's scared of a lot of things, like doors and stuff. I imagine the poor guy was pretty roughed up, enough to effect him physically.

we have a rescue dog. he is scared of lots of things, too.
it's so sad to see this and know that it is because of people, but at least they are now blessed with homes that give them lots of love and understanding.

no, we don't really have the money to take him to the vet and he's not personally mine. It looks like his testes never dropped and that very well could be some of his problems, along with the psychological ones.
