I think the reasoning is your in a "high end mechanical" thread. Counterfeit talk belongs elsewhere.

I also find it funny that almost every person I know that is pro clone that's gone and bought the real thing has issued a retraction statement on clones being just as good.

If you choose to buy counterfeits then that's your choice , keep it to those threads and away from where its muddling up the usefull information that's actually on topic in here.

When I figured I would give mech mods a try last year I bought a Chi You clone , not wanting to spend a ton of money if it wasn't my thing. From what I understand it's a really good copy.

Next to my PAPS X 1.5 and V3 it's a piece of trash. The difference in quality isn't even comparable. They're cheap because they have no R&D behind them , they're made to poor specifications and they are made with cheap materials.

There is a very good reason why high end mechs cost what they do and it's just something you need to experience to understand.

And I agree , keep the clones and clone talk out of this thread, there's a place for it and it isn't here.

I am not pro clone but that is ridiculous. Anything to keep people off cigs is worth the mod. This could be a month worthy argument and not the intention but find it repulsive that some believe they are better than others for their mods. Who cares what an individual uses as long as it's effective. My $.02

Well my statement was solely based on the comment posted not a generalized statement. If to would to take my words as such then that's your deal. I own numerous high end and limited devices along with clones that I tried and beginner devices. I've don't look any anyone differently for their choices as long as they are using it as a cessation aid. Secondly I do think that making exact replicas are not fair to the hard work of the modder but that will not be stopped because China's patent laws are relatively non existent. And most modders starting out do not have the funds or take time to go through that long process. I agree it sucks to have a nice piece cloned but it's inevitable. That being said the clones are not what the real thing is, In conclusion I'm just not one to bash those that use them to stop smoking.

also bought a Kayfun flat cap.....

I have experienced it, still feel the same. They cost that much because they can charge that much and people will go on a waiting list for it. I say good for them, nothing wrong with getting as much out of your product as you can. If im still vaping yrs from now ill probably grab a authentic eventually. for now im not going to spend that much and will stay with whats working.
