Just wanted to clarify, I have yet to actually own a Chi (I have an SS on Pre-order) but I have used a friend's Brass Chi and I have say IMHO that the King mod hits harder. Yes, they do look very similiar in regards to exterior appearance but the King's actual performance wins over the Chi. You won't be disappointed with this mod.

Thanks for the review. Since you have owned both a Chi and this mod, how would you compare the two. Just curious as it seems I've heard others say that this is a Chi clone.

Well I just watched a review of it that was hard to follow. I wonder if the reviewer got a product placement perk for the box of cokes in the background or if it was just accidental. My guess based on the review is...it was an accident.

I guess there is an issue getting the extension tubes to allow use of the 18650. It is a very nice looking mod. It's not hard to guess what I find appealing in the design.

I will wait for more information. Let me know what you think if you get it Fury.

To be honest, I just didn't care for the look of it. They all "hit hard" in that price range so I bought the Vaperev Nemesis instead. I like the Nemesis I have and I like the look of that edition better. I'm not going to be any help on this one.

I also picked up the VapeRev Nemesis this morning. I replaced the locking ring and top cap brass pieces and switched the pieces with my Vapor Wall Nemy. Looks sick!

Thanks! I haven't been able to get my hands on a Chi yet, but was able to order a King, so was curious if they were comparable in performance.

The king will always be (well to me) a clone to the Chi You. I remember back before production many said this was supposed to be the "top" clone to the chi you and was even advertised by instagram, fb or what not as a clone. Regardless of who likes it or not, I wouldn't purchase a $230 "look-a-like". But that's just me.

The problem I'm still having is the locking ring. After numerous attempts to loosen the locking ring, I am still unsuccessful... ....ing sucks because I can't prevent buy device from firing when in my pocket. As a result I haven't played it inside my pocket yet...
.

How did you fix it? Mines is also stuck in the unlock position... happened pretty much right when I got it. I want to spray WD40 on it but I'm wondering if there's any alternative...

btw I'm going to pit this thing up against my friends brass chi you this weekend. gonna put a volt meter on it and test the drop with a few attys we have laying around (kayfun 3.1, Ti turbine, Cobra) and maybe make a vid of it

I put Noalox on the threads and it's working fine.

How hard it hits is a good factor, but just a factor of course.. for the price it should hit on all cylinders (be good in all areas) unless we're paying for hype.
I have one too but haven't gotten to it yet.
People can say all about the Chi being better but if i can't buy one, who cares?
I'll check this out...

can you tell me how the locking mechanism is suppose to work? I mean what do you turn.. the bottom button itself or what?
THere's no info about that so far that i can find...

the bottom lock is reverse threaded, its basically a giant bolt that when undone keeps the switch from firing. Yea, I'm ...... because when I PMed surefire about my problem, they told me and i quote:

"Hello. The lock ring is designed as a reverse locking ring. Please turn the ring the other way. Thank you."

hmm... only i've tried that but the ring is fused in the unlock position. Guess i'll pick up some Nolax... thanks Surefire.

hmmm well they're polite, but not very helpful there eh?
hope thats not a bad sign... what about Vaperev?
I mean for a high end piece $$$, you'd expect some CS not to mention QC....

I've had my Chi-You's lock with the air ring. Not because of the o-ring issue either, just seize when re-assembling. With the Chi-you this was because of two separate thread areas for the top air ring. All said, I had to use rubber gloves, or simply noalox or vice grips + cloth / denim to eventually break the seal. I eventually found the threading issue and now know how to thread the air lock ring without seizing it. Point being, even the Chi-You has issues if you don't know how to work around it. This mod is no different. (except it costs $5 more..)

Vaperev fixed it. Because it's reverse threaded you can't tighten it too much otherwise it gets stuck. Friends chi you often has the same problem even without reverse threads. Interesting observation though: chi you parts work on this mod (extension tubes, top cap, bottom assembly), but not vice versa. Weird...
