My take: It is Not a "clone". It's the same kayfun, "rebranded" resourced at origin. Coming from the same 'plant' which is making the Kayfuns.

The Pics i've seen so far of the russian I cant tell the difference between the two. I'd honestly like to see them both side by side before passing judgement, it appears as if it's the same CNC place stole the design at this point though.

Don't be confused, "The Russian" is a clone and does not come from SM as a rebranded product. They have been in EU since at least the end of May. The design was stolen and there are a few differences, they are serialized and the fill valve is designed internally different. You can use a metal needle to fill if you like and they claim the pressure is better inside the unit.

They have been compared side by side my 100's and the clone has a discussion thread on every forum that I have seen.
I will not support stolen copies aka clones, no matter where the origin of mfg.

It doesnt get much better than Guru. Vassilis is a great man much like Imeo. He takes care of all. He is a close friend of Imeo as I think they see each other almost daily.

You know I would be in first for a Brohug but theft is theft. Many mfg struggle within the borders of their own country. Men and Women struggle to feed their families and survive as they are afforded with economic conditions that are paralyzing them. They are pioneers and working hard for us. Greece is a great example, the economy blows and the crooked politicians are kicking citizens in the nuts. Then BAM China or whomever decides they want to profit by theft. This activity does not sit well with my integrity or moral framework. Seriously.

I guess I would rather own one original than a dozen clones. China owns enough of my country without me giving them my money for ripped off clones.

Can't pick up an eGo-T either, 'coz they r the Janty or Ovale clone. Uh, that reminds me to add 'eRoll' in the previous list -- that's an Ovale Clone, LOL.

Slow, steady and calculated purchases.
It's like buying nice shoes....I would rather have a pair of quality shoes that costs 2x more than to buy 2-3 pairs of crap from Wal-Fart that are garbage.
You also are more likely to retain purchase value of originals when its time to shake up the collection.

Before you know it, your collection will grow to one that you can be proud of!

But, I never knew about the originals... and when I knew I couldn't find any in stock... by then I had amassed all those clones already!

Once I garnered whatever funds I had, I picked up the GP Lux, but alas - it also turned out to be a clone! Now I've no money left

Vasilis passed away a few months ago in a car accident unfortunately. They had a giant auction for his family on facebook.

I also do not support the China clones, but I do find it interesting to see how well they cloned said device, some of them are just laughable. A few times though they have actually made improvements on the design, which if provided as a STAND ALONE addon for the existing product I would not have a problem with.
