So. I've been vaping on the Kayfuns (both of them, next week my mini will be here) and I think I'm done with gennies. They were a breeze to build and the flavour is awesome. They look good to boot too!

The above may or may not be self-justification for the 4 Kayfuns I've splashed out on the past week.

Jacoji pushed me the same way but, I will always be in for a well built quality genny. There are huge diffrences in quality from builder to builder. They are easy to build, functional and if built right the vape is an easy competitor. The taste is very clean with ss(if prepared correctly) and I choose not and will not move to the nextel crap.

I don't know which way that was suppose to lead me? are you saying the originals will be more desirable? or go with the V2? I guess it really doesn't matter to me, ive never sold any of my mods. I use them, they get scratches and I love them the same.

sorry for all the questions, but flat or button top batteries for the bagua? im thinking of going with some efests.

All IMHO:
a) If it's brass u r interested in - go for the older model (all sides engraved one) - those etchings really looks cool.
b) If it's SS that endears u - the v2 is the best time for it - go for the new SS, b'coz it has those engravings now.
c) If it's "all round engravings" that catches ur fascination - take the v2 SS, those black etchings really look gr8 on SS.
d) If it's any one of those - then grab either of the v2, but the v2. B'coz, that could give u a longer satisfaction of having the newer model in ur hands. Akin to what u do while buying ur car!

Fact:
Efest IMR14500 flat top snug fits the Ba Gua. I don't use/have AW - so won't know.

Totally agree that if prepared well the vape is phenomenal. I suppose its the laziness in me as well. Oxidising a SS wick is just so much more involved than coiling a silica.

I went with the new version of the brass. I like the clean look of it, but of course this is wholly subjective on the individual buying it.

On the side: You were the reason I got into vaping in a big way; specifically your review of the eRoll. Thank you for writing that.

Hey. I still have 6 gennies. And I even occasionally use 2-3 of them. I need to change my wick methodology.

Well said. I've four Gennys and love them all. Initially I had double takes on the first buy, the Aga-T2.2, but thereon it has always been right at the first take itself. I've learnt the tricks of the trade I guess. AND now they truly satisfy me. The only other non-Genny which is performing stupendously is the GP Spheroid.

i have 3 kayfun lites enroute. kiryn, can you describe the draw? more on the airy side or tight?

i'm a fan of the kayfuns as well. i still enjoy my gennies and all, but having to keep them upright during work or when out and about gets tedious.

I would say slightly on the tighter side. Which is good I suppose if any industrious fella here want to drill it out some. It's about equivalent to 2.5 turns on the 3.1 from totally tight. This is, of course, based on my exacting science of "feel".
