High Pitch Noise on Provari?

I get a high pitch noise when I hit the fire button on my provari...Anyone else get this???

Yup - it doesn't happen all the time, but certain combinations of atty/carto/voltage make it sing. I seem to recall reading something about the noise being from the regulator circuitry - and is nothing to worry about.

No but there is a chip in there with my address and the 211th it makes that noise it will rocket propel out of your hand to my address.

Yep, remember when TV's had a 15750 hertz horizontal retrace flyback transformer? Only chicks could hear it for the most part. Most guys didn't notice it.

Me, too. Mine, in my left ear, is from standing in front of a 4x12 cab playing guitar for all these years (or, maybe it was from shooting cap pistols when I was a kid). I can always tell if my blood pressure is up from the change in levels.

Yours, from your avatar, is probably traceable to a Harley muffler!

Actually it's from my Navy days = just the Harley mufflers (and tbh the wind noise) hurt more now then they should. I wear earplugs a lot.

I can hear transformers around the house when it's quiet that most other people don't notice..it can be annoying..I play guitar (used to play) also and pick up by ear...
