Temperature protection (or whatever/however it's displayed in that mod) typically means that in TC mode, you have reached your upper temperature limit. The mod then throttles back on wattage to "protect" the coil temp from rising above the upper limit set. You can continue vaping, and that message should go away. This is assuming you are using TC mode correctly, and with the right type of coil (SS, nickel or titanium). If temp protect isn't going away after the mod cools down, that either means there is something wrong with the TC setup, or the mod isn't performing correctly (could be electrical, could just be an issue with settings.)

Best of luck, I wouldn't be worried about your batteries in this situation. "Temp protect" is concerning the temperature in your tank, not the heat and/or strain with your batteries, in most cases. I can't see a reason to not use your batteries, but you may want to watch a video review/demo regarding your mod and its settings. I do that with most of my new devices, not so much to hear what the reviewer thinks of it (although that can sometimes be helpful) but I find it easier than trying to "decode" the "written in google translation" instructions that sometimes arrive with the mod. Fairly often I find them to be not that helpful, other than getting the vaguest sense of what the equipment can do.

Best of luck, I hope you get it figured out.

The Omni board inside the swag has a temp sensing feature that monitors the temp of the board itself.
It is easily triggered by vaping while it is charging, using an insufficient, old or damaged cell and from use in high ambient temps.
This feature has nothing to do with temp control mode for use with compatible wire types.

Hi and welcome. If you got the temp protection notice, it's meaningless, aside from telling you the system is working as designed. If you got the "board too hot" message-- I can't tell from your description-- then something is wrong. It doesn't meant it will blow up; getting the warning means it's telling you it will shut down before something does. Pass-thru vaping-- charging in the mod and vaping at the same time-- does add extra heat to the board. Aside from that, it could be many things. An old (thus lower capacity) battery, pushing the mod to its limits, anything.

Can confirm. My omni boarded mod did this yesterday. I was using it to build a coil for a more powerful mod that doesn't have a screen.

It's a 80W max watt mod, I was firing at 80W over and over while pinching coils (in power mode).

Had to set it aside for ~15 minutes and let it cool down.

Hey ppl, i just got a high temprature warning on my Vaporesso Swag. Is this dangerous? i took the battery out just to be safe, and charging it in a efest slim k2 insted of in the mod since ive read somewhere that charging in the mod might not be the best.
I have found it's best to contact the manufacturer *Vaporesso" (An ECF reg. suplr) regarding the danger.
Could try this contact:
