Higher ohm coils

Hey all,
I recently got a kayfun tank and I have been learning to build coils. The other night I kept miscounting wraps and doing the math wrong and ended up with a few 2.8ohm coils when I was shooting between 1.6 and 1.8. Everyone seems to be going over to sub-ohm coils so my brain instantly thought that these higher ohm coils would be less desirable. I used one and the flavor was insane! Almost like drinking juice and the vapor wasn't bad either anyone else running higher ohm coils? What are your results?

I run a 1.5 ohm micro coil with 30 guage wire around 1/16 drill bit and 6/7 wraps. My 1.8 ohm coil is 7/8 wraps of 30 guage as well. Check you tube, there is a lot of videos showing micro coils I kfl.

I love using higher ohm coils for my fruity juices, using my zmax at 15 watts with a 1.8 ohm coil is just gravy. Sub ohming is good for creamier more complex juices imo.

I prefer lower ohms (0.2-0.8) for drippers and higher ohms (1.5-2) for my taifun. But I'm a drip junkie, so I don't wrap high ohms often. But it's always ok to go with what you prefer, even if no one else does.

Some of my coils verge on 3.0, particularly when they are old. Doesn't bother me, my VAMO adjusts accordingly.

I generally prefer coils in the 1.5-1.8 ohm range. Much higher than that and it takes too long for the coil to get hot.

Higher ohms will mainly just give you a cooler vape and as said above, take longer to heat up. I have read that 1.5-1.8 is a preference for KFL. I have vaped lower than that and higher than that (2.3 was the highest) and they were all good.

I don't have a Kayfun but never go below 2 ohms on my rebuilds; usually shoot for ~2.5 ohms.

With the Kayfun I'm all over the place ohms wise. I like between .5 and 1.5 on mech mods, but on my DNA device I aim for around 1.8 to 3 ohms. I mostly use the kayfun on the DNA device because going too low on the ohms has melted insulators for me in the past and I'd prefer to avoid doing that again lol. Might have been me dry burning a coil too hard though, so take that info with a grain of salt.

I love my kayfun on my zmax or dna30 around 1.5 to 2 ohms. Got me some peanut butter and jelly in mine right now. I love dripping but my kayfun is awesome for movie watching and driving.
