New to Vaping Voltage Question?

Hello all! I recently took up vaping and I am enjoying it so far! I recently got a new setup and it is an eGo C Twist with the mini Protank 2 Clearomizer. I ended up getting a 1.8 ohm and 2.5 ohm coil and I enjoy the 1.8 ohm more than the 2.5 one. I am using an 80VG/20PG menthol juice and I find that I get more of the cooling sensation and bigger clouds using a higher voltage with the 1.8 ohm coil. I heard that you aren't supposed to use lower resistance coils with the eGo twist batteries at higher voltages as this can destroy the battery. I vape between 3.8v-4.3v on the eGo twist with the 1.8 ohm coil depending on the juice I am using. The 80VG/20PG works better at 3.8v and if I go any higher I will get a burnt taste. Will vaping at a higher voltage on an eGO C Twist with a 1.8 ohm battery destroy the battery? How high can I go in voltage (max voltage is 4.8v) before it starts to get dangerous? Thank you!

Are you using single or dual coils?

eGo-C Twist in nothing like those old regulated 3.2 eGo batteries.

Even if you exceed your amp limit, nothing bad will happen--the voltage output will drop--that's it. Ohm's Law cannot be defied. :D

I am using a single coil and my battery is 1100 mAh. Good thing the voltage will just drop I thought something catastrophic was going to happen :D

I am also looking for some good juices to use. The ones I am using are too weak in taste and seem to burn way to easy even at low voltages. What are some good brands to check out?

Burning means low wicking efficiency. If you can cover the air holes and take a few hits without pressing the fire button, you might find that the flavor suddenly soars. Hitting it with the air holes covered up creates suction that draws juice into the wick. On most atomizers the air holes are around the male part of the 510 connector and you can cover the junction of the battery and the atty to seal off air.

Good juices are designed for people who no longer smoke cigarettes and their taste and smell has returned to normal. Many juices are over flavored to meet the needs of those with weak taste buds from smoking, but burnt flavor means low saturation in most cases.

When I was still smoking and vaping I complained about the lack of taste and it was hard to find a juice with flavor. These days after not smoking for 2 1/2 of the 4 1/2 years I've vaped, I'm finding that many juices are just too flavorful ... to the point of cloying. I'm still really liking Dekang because they don't over flavor their juices and I find them to be just about right. If I want more flavor I just add 25% of some other strong juice to beef them up.

My favorite juice combo right now is Dekang Tobacco mixed 3 to 1 with Madvapes Tobacco. I add 3ml Dekang and 1ml Madvapes in a 4.5ml Kayfun tank and then rotate it with my fingers for a minute to mix.
