higher resistance build!

I can sub and super sub ohm build, but have struggled trying to build a dripper to use on my VTR. . Until today!! 2.7 ohm single coil, 30g Nichrome 11 wraps approximately 1/16". It offered a nice vape! I need to fine tune it a bit so I can get 1 more coil in there.. couple more wraps should do it?

What about going to a bit larger dia? Same wraps same wire higer ohms.

Eyerhere: Most of my coils are large enough to JUST clear the deck/walls.

There's 1 for instance.. this should have been much higher. I put It on another meter and it read out to .30 I put it back on mine until it JUST caught resistance when tightening and it read .28
This sucker is big.

I would love to see the build when you nail it but I am no help to you on this one. How can you get 2 of anything on that? Vertical? Stacked? Offset?

haha, yeah was just for deck space. I didn't snap a pic of the build in the W6. I'll get one tomorrow. It's a horizontal, if I remember correctly.

have you tried heating with a butane torch and compressing them together with tweezers? I can get 11-12 wraps of 28 gauge into a kanger head that way

I made a good start this evening. 13 wraps of 26g at about 2mm i.d. .45 I have that single in the 454 and popped it on the ipv, cranked up to 35w and wow. Can't vape and drive, clouds block me view!! I'm still on the hunt for a higher ohm build. Maybe I can wrap a triple parallel 32g.. hmmmm.. challenge accepted!

no, it was .45
I am hoping to get a decent build from 28 or 26g in the .5-.8 range dual coil. I wrapped a 26g nano earlier, parallel 11 wrap on 18g needle; just haven't had time yet to mount and check it.

If you are getting .45ohms from that build you have got a serious short somwere. That build should come in at about 1.4

I've come to the conclusion my meter is bipolar. I have to just get contact with the atty to get a reading. If I tighten it any more than just enough, it reads wrong. Sigh. .

You can always use a DMM to confirm your ohm reader is working right.

I am glad you hve got a bad meter becouse if not I wold have deemed you nuts! Lol
