Highest amp limit for 18350 battery

I really enjoy using my mech mods in 18350 mode. They just seem too big to be carrying around in my pocket all day when i have an 18650 or even 18500 battery inside. I have been using the aw imr 18350 batteries but from what i understand they have a 6 amp limit. Are there any 18350 batteries out there with a higher limit? My sweet spot is around 0.5 ohms and these aw imr 18350 batteries limit me to 0.7 ohm builds.

thanks!

I agree with dr g. There really is no other option for an 18350 IMR other than the AW.

There are other 18350 IMR's on the market, but none will compare to the AW.

Running a 0.7 ohm coil you are drawing 6 amp continuous discharge rate from that AW 18350. It's CDR is rated at 6.8 amps, so you are pushing that battery to its limit with every use. No battery will last long with that kind of heavy use.

I understand the appeal of using a shorter mod, but if you are primarily using sub-ohm you should consider using your mod in 18650 mode. The following IMR and hybrid batteries all have a continuous discharge rate of over 10 amps, so you can use them at your "sweet spot" of 0.5 ohm and still have plenty of amp headroom for more safety and much longer use between charges.

AW IMR
18650 1600mah 24A

MNKE IMR
18650 1500mah 20A

Orbtronic hybrid

Samsung hybrid (LiNiCoMnP)

Sony
