Hello everyone. I have a Trustfire TR-001 charger that I use to charge my spare evic battery. I have just ordered a VAMO v2, and ordered an IMR 18350 battery with it for the short mode along with an IMR 18650 for regular operation. I have looked at my charger and the 18350 is not listed on it as a battery that it supports. Does anyone know if it will charge the 18350? It lists: 10430, 10440, 14500, 16340, 17670, 18500, and 18650.

Thanks!

can you do that safely?

I guess it all depends on how you define "Safe".

Could I be hit be a Meteorite or have a Stroke and Die while charging a 18350 on my TR-001 Charger? Sure. But the chances are kinda Low.

Is it Safe to charge 18350 Batteries on a TR-001 Charger? I don't see why not. The Protected and IMR 18350's I own have the Same Chemistry as the Protected and IMR 18650's I also own. They are just a Little Shorter.

Since the chemistry of the batteries is identical (IMR Li-MN) it's safe to charge your 18350s, they just don't fit. You can use charger spacers (available from many vendors), or some people use copper tubing or pennies -- not recommended unless you like to experiment.

Not sure why you say this?

I just drop my 18350's into the Charger and then pull them out when the Light turns Green. Not exactly Rocket Science.

Do you own a TR-001 Charger?

I have to say this useing a TR-001 charger.....I bought mine with 2 18650 batterys and on first day they charged to a green light after 5 hrs about, I rotate them and check the voltage with a tester. As of tonight i had 1 of my 18650 batterys on there for 18 hrs and never got the green light. It's not warm but pulled it off and checked it and it sits at 4.17v, tested charger output says 4.2v.....after 5 hrs now i just pull them off.

Bottom line it does charge and seems to really trickel at the end but good luck on getting a green light.I tested this with both sides.I will be buying a better one in a few days forsure.
