Doe anyone know when the first E-cigarette was invented? Did it exsist 10 or more years ago?

Herbert Gilbert first patent the smokeless cig in 1963 I believe, but the market wasnt ready for it at that time, or maybe Big tobacco had something to do with it not coming out, who knows, but it was Gilbert that invented the first one and before the current one that Hon Lik came out with but Hon Lik's produces vapor Gilbets didnt,,, you can see the first patent ecig here = www.worldwide.espacenet.com/publica...ft=D&nd=3&date=19650817&DB=EPODOC&local=en_EP
The first e-cig as we know it was introduced 8-10 years ago in China by Ruyan Holdings. It was brought to the US for the first time around 2007
