I heard that they found a Primitive Atty inside one of the Pyramids in Egypt. It had a Papyrus Reed Wick.
But it had to be positioned just right. One day a year, during the solstice, the sun would hit it just right and heat the liquid. They could get maybe 2 or 3 good hits in before the beam of light shifted.

Yeah... And if you tried to use it and it Wasn't the Summer/Winter Solstice, a Giant Stone Ball would Roll Down a Ramp and Crush You!

vaping was Tough Back then.

njay and zoiD how do you know these things??
Every Greek will tell you the Egyptians were only the custodians of the first PV. This is by a long and protracted tale I have tried my best to keep it short:

It all began on a fine, idyllic afternoon on Mt Olympus when Morpheus- God of Dreams got upset during a few games of Tavli with Hephaestus- God of Metalworking. Morpheus losing badly, decided to cheat by sending Hephaestus a Dream of a device so Wondrous that Hephaestus could no longer concentrate on the game, so pre-occupied was he with this magical object and its design.
And so Hephaestus' Quest began.
First he fashioned the tube from a Special Iron and with the aid of Aphrodite- Goddess of Pleasure and Beauty who embellished it with Gold and Diamonds.
Then the Sacred Poison had to be stolen from the Goddess Circe (pharmakeia- the Sorceress) with the help of Hermes- God of Thievery. Asclepius- God of Medicine volunteered to make it safer for use.
Demeter- Goddess of Harvests along with Athena- Goddess of Oils helped Flavour this now Scared Nectar.
Zeus- King of Heaven and Sky threw a Lightning Bolt to power the magical device.
And so the 'Golden Greek' was born.
Ares- God of Battle and Heracles- Defender against Evil were made Guardians, both swore to protect and keep the 'GG' safe.
Unfortunately, Morpeous was so sick with Envy having not only lost at Tavli but now Hephaestus had also become Greek Idol of the Year, he had a secret meeting with The Furies- Goddesses of Punishment & Retribution, Dionysus- God of Parties and Drunkenness and Apollo- God of Healing, Plague & Disease a.k.a FDA into tricking Ares and Heracles with the Promise of the Three Graces (Joy, Beauty and Dancing (pole)) thus opening the gateway for the 'GG' to be removed from Mt Olympus.

A side deal was struck with the Egyptians, in their haste to avoid getting caught up in a Civil War they lost the Stainless Steel Wick and this is why it was originally found with a Papyrus Wick. And because they only had the device and no Plans they couldn't prove the Patent!

Nevertheless, due to the ensuing Tragedies, Finger Pointing, Shouting and Philosophising (you know what Greeks are like) the Gods convened with the FDA and thought it best for the Egyptians to remain Custodians of the 'GG'; Zeus removed the Lightning Bolt and with the Express understanding the 'GG' was to be used only at certain times of the year when both Helius- Sun God and Ra- Egyptian Sun God sent beams of light to the Atomizer, this also explains why the rays were intermittent, mainly due to the two Gods jostling for position and Helios was often late (Time- never a Greeks strong suit). eh! At least, Mt Olympus was at peace again, well.., until the next argument (remember Greeks!)

But this does not end the tale. Odysseus and his lovely wife Penelope managed to get their hands on the Plans drafted by Hephaestus, and stored them in a cavern in Ithaca, later the plans moved around Greece, and eventually found their way into the Treasure Vaults of Constantinople.
Yet again there was upset and war, only this time with the Turks, so the plans were on the move again when the Romans confiscated them to Rome for safe keeping.

The plans were stored in the Vatican Archives and remained there for centuries, until a monk found them and sold them to a Venetian Merchant who was going on a great expedition to find the Far East, his name Marco Polo, the rest ...is Hon Lik

My first ecig was the biggest pos compared to what's out there today. I got so frustrated I didn't try vaping again for three years. So glad I came back. Even the Walmart and gas station ones are better than what I started on, and I paid a pretty penny for it. Technology moves so fast. Can't wait to see where they go next.

Because I had all of those.

Of course I had a DSE103, RN4081 and a Blu before them. And Many After them also.

so, if ecigs went on the (US) market around 2006 (Wiki), would that have been the DSE103 model? perhaps RN4081 was 2007, 510 and Blu 2009? how about KR808D-1? Ego? how about mods?

I don't know that Exact Origins of the BSE103 / RN4081 but some believe, including myself, that they were the Forerunners of the Joye 510.

The BSE103 and the RN4081 use the Same, Female Threaded battery.

The BSE103 was Released with a Male Shaped Atomizer. People quickly found that the Cartridges that came with the BSE103 were somewhat Lacking in performance. So users started to just "Drip" e-Liquid onto the Atomizer to get a Better Hit.

But this was Difficult at best because the BSE103 had a Male Style Atomizer. So the RN4081 was designed / released which had a Female Atomizer and made Dripping Much Easier.

Joye took the design of the RN4081 and Upsized it. Bigger Battery. Bigger Atomizer. Bigger Cartridge. And of course. To make people buy Their Atomizers / Batteries, Joye used a Different Thread than the RN4081, hence the Birth of the Joye 510.
