Hitecvapor Russian 91 by KEBO

Think I may have gotten hosed by these guys, I finally got my second 91, this time from Hitecvapor. When I got the box, it had been open, seal was broke, it was already assembled, the chimney and base are polished not brushed as is the rest of the body, the positive deck screw is stripped and wont seat properly to tighten wire for a coil, the outside of the body has scuffs on it as well. This is my second 91, and doesnt match my first, but maybe my first was bad...not.
My question is this, has anyone gotten a 91 similar? Does Hitecvapor work this way? If they do, heads up friends.

Let me know thoughts.

This is weird, I actually just received my Russian 91 from this exact place last friday. The first thing I noticed was that my box's seal was broken, ok whatever, so I opened it and everything was what it should be. Mine was all brushed, not polished. The one problem I have, well 2 really, the drip tip that screws into the top, the threads are a little chewed up but I can fix that. The 2nd is the o-ring that the chimney slides into keeps coming out, I cant get that thing to stay for the life of me. Another thing, I called them prior to getting my package cause the shipping address was wrong and I wanted to make sure they entered it correct. Someone answered and told me it was strange and she would have to talk to the "tech people" and call me back. Needless to say that was last week and ive yet to hear anything. But I did recieve it so, I guess I cant complain.

The lady told me it was "strange" and she had to talk to the tech people about it and they'd call me back. She never did, which is surprising, she seemed nice. I was just wondering why it was opened and the seal was broke. Everything is working and was in tact so.

Yeah at least they got back to you, thats good. I still dont see how a seal just "opens" I mean when I ripped the other side off it was stuck on pretty good. Unless they opened it to check everything was in the box? If thats the case I wouldnt mind that. Either way, glad they fixed the problem for you. Does anyone know why when I build my coil and go to tighten it down around the post the whole block moves? Ive taken it all apart down to the adjustable 510 connection and seperated the screw. Is this normal?

Heisinberg. I had the same thing and it was shorting out like crazy so fix this before something bad happens. you need to dissassemble the whole thing down to bits. Then remove the firing pin connector screw...most likely you will also remove the center post with this as they are probably locked together. Seperate the center pin from the center post screw. Retighten the center post while holding the positive block and the white insulator in place while you tighten the center post...get it pretty snug (tight but not overtight). I then added a second small washer from parts bag onto the fire pin which screws into the center pin. this kept it from moving about and coming loose after i set the depth. Basically, tear it apart and realize that the center post is connected to the fire pin and they are two parts. you need to tighten them individually. it will make sense when you tear into it. My problem was that when i tried to adjust the fire pin to work on the MVP it loosened the positive connector and my ohms went crazy and was shorting out.

Thats exactly what happened to me, my ohms were crazy, I knew it was a little loose but it wasnt horrible. I actually did everything you said already lol minus the washer thing, I may try that. It just sucks getting a perfect coil and then going to tighten it down and the block slides sideways and bends my coil out of shape. Now I just have to find a washer. Thanks for the help!
