I've decided its time to get either a nice RDA or a Kayfun Lite Plus. It seems like a lot of the information floating around the Kayfun is somewhat contradicting. I really like the idea of having a tank, because I hate constantly having to drip, that being said, I also want a good vapor and flavor production. From what I understand, it seems that RDAs have similar flavor to the Kayfun, but a greater vapor production. I would also like to build .8-.9 ohm single coils as I have found that that is my sweet spot for vaping. What would you guys recommend I do? $100 is a lot of money... :p

Only one day in with my KFL+ but it's definitely less flavorful and produces less vapor than my Trident. However the high tank capacity makes it worth it for me since dripping is a drag when you're on the go.

That being said, I'm assuming that the KFL+ is pretty much the best tank system you've used? If you were to scale it percentage-wise, how much less would you say youre getting of flavor/vapor respectively?

As the owner of 8+ RDAsi would absolutely say get a Kayfun Lite +. Actually get both lol. Drippers are great but there is nothing that tops the Kayfun/Russian in my book. They give great flavor and nice fluffy clouds. Easy to build/use they are the creme de la creme of RBA's. If you want a dripper get an IGO w. You could really get both for under 50$ if you dont mind getting a kayfun clone.

The kayfun will actually be a valentines day gift from my girlfriend, and she prefers I just get the actual thing. But from what I understand clones usually give very similar performance. If I were to get a clone then, what is the best most accurate clone? I know the dripper clones have near exact performance to the originals, is it the same with the kayfun?

I have an EHpro kayfun 3.1 and I like it but I also have about 6 rdas and I personally prefer them. But like previously said, dripping on the go is just a pain, I still do it but tank wise I would say its the best tank IVE used. If I had to do it all over again id probly get a russian, just cause I like the satin finish and I damn near paid around that price anyway....

You really can't get anything that will give better flavor and vapor than an RDA. With that said, the Kayfuns still give *decent* vapor, and surprisingly good flavor. You're making a trade off, vapor/flavor for having a tank. I've got about 4 RDA's and 1 KFL+. RDA's are still my go-to, but the KFL is the best tank I've found.

Also, I'm with you on the genesis front... I really really hate them.

I was considering a Helios rda because I have a smoktech magneto mechanical mod and it color matches :p. Not just that but also adjustable airflow and I've just heard its a very good quality RDA

The Helios is a very nice RDA. It's one of the easiest builds out there, because of the dual positive connectors.
As for choosing between a dripper and a Kayfun, it depends on your lifestyle. Dripping is a little more of a hassle than a 'fill it and forget it' Kayfun; but IMO, the Kayfun isn't even close, as far as the flavor from a well set up dripper.

I have 2 RDA's and 0 RTA's . I will not buy a tank style RBA, I simply don't think the performance is anywhere near a high end RDA with the right setup.. One of my rda's is the Helios you mentioned.. it is my current favorite rda and once I find something better you know i'll be picking that up too.. the helios performs as good if not better than the other high end rda's on the market and VHO's customer service is SPOT ON.. I recommend the helios and I recomment you pick it up directly from VHO. If anyone thinks they have a better flavor/vapor setup that they think I should look into feel free to pm me but I havent found anything better than my quad micro coil with sterile unboiled cotton on the helios.

Helios is one badass dripper, love mine I just got, AF is very nice, esp on the go. Like some have said, nothing will beat a good dripper set-up in terms of flavor/vapor, but my KFL + the flavor is as good as it gets without a dripper. I find pretty decent vapor production too with a 1.0-1.3 coil. Both different beasts, i'd say get both =) Helios is very easy to set up some nice, neat dual coil builds. I prefer a dual coil at .6-.7 on my drippers, 1.0-1.3 on Kayfun.

The Ehpro and Hcigar clones are VERY close to the originals. I have an Ehpro Kayfun lite + and a hcigar 3.1 clone and they work flawlessly. But if you have the funds then by all means get the original, they're about as well made as any nice piece of vaping hardware. Really Svoemesto has done an extraordinary job on creating one of the most prized pieces of vaping hardware out there. If I had 100$ to spend on one atomizer that's what I'd get.

I bought an RSST first and loved it, darn thing tricked me into thinking all gennies would be as easy to set up and work like the RSST. Now 4 genesis atomizers later I finally realized not any of them works like the RSST.... -sigh-. Thank goodness I found the Kayfun...

A bit off topic but I've got an African Grey too! do you vape around him/her?

I have several RDA's (Trident V2, Omega, and Nimbus, all clones), as well as several Kayfuns (a 'real' Svoemesto KFL+, a Black Ed. KFL+, and an HCigar 3.1), and I find myself reaching for the Kayfuns more often than the RDA's. What I basically do is I will use the RDA's to sample different flavors of ELiquid....Then, when I find one I like, I load up one of the Kayfuns with it....I find that the flavor from the Kayfun is second to none, and it's just an enjoyable all-around vape....

Plus, Kayfuns are a LOT of fun to build on!! I say go for the Kayfun (or one of its clones); you will not regret it!!
