Looks like theirs a lot of talented and fun loving people on here, that's cool to see what everyone is into!!!

"grimmer255", I'm glad you liked my work the Scrimshaw Finished one was my latest piece sold, it just went to one of my collectors on ebay for $350 and he got a bargain but he's bought a lot of things from me.

"David", The gold coin is a very good fake! A fellow jeweler buys gold and silver and someone brought about 30 of them into him trying to sell them as gold, he told them they where fake and gave him around $20 for all of them, so I ended up with one. I do carve/engrave Hobo Nickels from old Buffalo Nickels it's fun.

And yes I was also into bikes!!!

No fair, i think we ALL want to learn to play the guitar. You ever make a guitar? I was looking through my Grizzly catalog (woodworking and metal working tool supplier) and didn't realize they are hard core into guitar making and sell several guitar kits. It'd be fun to make one:)

yeah.. made one a few years ago.
its a strat style.

like to tear em apart and customize them.
Lets just put it this way....have more guitars than PV mods.

All of you guys have cool hobbies, mine seem so much less cool now =*(...

Well, I am a geek. Technology is my hobby I guess I would have to say, I love ripping apart computers and fixing them, building them and also networking them.
I have a server up and running that I run all my home applications off of and it also databases my family's files...

Also I love computer games...

Nice, I always wanted to put together one of those watercooled ones. I built one PC and redid two of the 3 I use. I want a magnetic hard drive if the price ever goes down.

Wow $350 I was hoping to get one myself as a reminder of a good friend who passed away last year. He was half Cherokee Indian and also a Vietnam Vet.... something like the Scrimshaw design would be something I would ware everyday to remember him by. But it would take me a long time to save up for the Scrimshaw design but I think it would be well worth it.

Well you had to have SOME prior knowledge or I dont think you would have did such a good job!

not really with computers.. I mean I knew what ram was..but I was in the dark on this topic.
Just read about it.
researched and figured out what parts I wanted.
bought all the parts.
and basically figured it out as I went.
a PC forum build guide helped me.
and the manuals that come with the stuff help too.

2 WB Black HDs 640/750 - one with windows 7 ultimate, one with Windows XP.
4gb ram
400w corsair PSU
Don't have a SSD.....it would be nice though.
gigabye mobo...amd quadcore.
antec 900 case. 3- 120mm fans, 1- 200m fan
and more.
upgrades will come later...I just got it up and running not too long ago.
still need video card...I'm running the one off the mobo currently.
it runs great and I'm happy with the results so far.

very cool! thats usually how i go about doing stuff too...just kinda throw myself into it and learn as i go...did it with motorcycles...but i had a lot of engine info from my father..but all engines basically the same..small variants like fuel thats used and 2-4 stroke...

vaping...i did the same thing...kinda learned as i went along..i was originally going to school for electrical engineering so that helped a little

Now you got me interested in the computer building...My dad has built some computers that kick ... for pretty cheap and it sounds like urs is pretty well off too! Im sure it moves! I wouldnt mind building one some day!
