Habit or Hobby?

I got chewed out by a hippy once about my E-cig.

People at the party were like "what is that"

I continued to explain what it was and how it's pretty much a cigarette without anything bad and this guy jumped in and got on the offensive about it.

He told me that It was a crutch and that I wasn't doing anything good for myself. Mind you... he was smoking a cigarette and I felt a sense of irony that he was bashing me for saying my e-cig was healthier..

After about an hour (at least felt like it) keeping my cool, I just told him It's not so much the health benefit, it's more of a hobby.

I'm not a anti-smoking activist, I just like vaping better than smoking.

After that he said "I respect you for doing it because you like it, not because it's safer"

I personally could care less if I get his O.K. of my vaping, but I did realize I vape because I like it better and... well it turned into a hobby.

Some old "hippies" are die-hard cause they were outcast in their time, I know cause I was one of them!

I guess it's still a habit, cause I use mine pretty much like a pacifier (until it gives me indigestion for the day! lol) but I definitely consider it a hobby. Why? Because I bought a tackle box to store it all in! Tackle box and organization = hobby. lol

i would say vaping is both for me but like many i can go way longer without vaping than i could ever go before without smoking. i still dont want to be without a PV and some good juice but i wouldnt be in panic mode like i would without a pack of cigs and a lighter before i started vaping.
