Hola folks...Advice sought

I am based in Melbourne, Australia and keen to try once again to move over to vaping from the rollies of winfield gold I have been smoking for many moons. I have one part of a Halo Triton from a while back, with odd flavours which seem a little strong in the nicotine stakes, or maybe they are just damn old, at least a year maybe two since I ordered them.

I am happy to try something new and would very much appreciate any advice on products which work. I smoke only when I drink in the evenings, never during the day. Just with the drink, which I am also cutting down slowly but surely...I also smoke a steady trickle of home grown herbal delights. yet whatever I opt for need not process both.

What oil will suit me if I am used to winfield gold, which is the weakest rolling tobacco available here? What device should I consider? Can they be bought here or must I order from afar?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome. For mouth to lung inhales, an iStick 30 and a Nautilus tank is a good place to start. For direct lung, the Kanger Topbox/Subox would be my choice. Actually, you might look at a Kanger Nebox as well, especially for drinking. It's very pocketable, and no protruding tank to break off. I DIY my juice, so I can't help you with brands, but you're correct nic level is important. This will probably require experimentation. Finally, not to bust your chops, discussion of smoking "other substances" is against forum rules. You may wish to edit your post, preferably before one of the mods notices it

Hey there Gutter! I've been out of the vaping world for some time but I picked up a JoyTech eGo AIO and I really like, easy to use and small which I assume is what you're looking for if you're loaded at a bar. It doesn't hold much liquid though, only 2ml. The tank is part of the battery so it's only parts are the battery/tank combo, the lid with 510 drip connector, and the atty. Real simple set up, it is a sub ohm, just buy a long drip tip to put on it because it can get a little warm. It comes with a mini usb charger but not wall adapter. I don't know where you can get one though because US companies tend to not ship over seas. Best of luck.

There are plenty tobacco flavoured liquids which would suit your needs

Just get the nicotine strength correct and your flying

I have to say a great beginners device for that cigarette type vape

I second both the AIO and Endura. Both work very well. My wife has the Endura T18 and I could get along with it just fine. I use the AIO as my night stand ecig, and it will travel with me on errands. My main rig is a Presa 75W/Kayfun 4 clone or Rx200/Cubis or RDA.

I am not familiar with Australian tobacco.

However, below is a "general guideline" for nicotine concentration in e-liquid to the number of cigarettes smoked per day. If you are subohming (resistance under 1.0Ω) cut these nicotine levels by at least 50%.

06 mg = 10 cigarettes or less
12 mg = 20 cigarettes
18 mg = 30 cigarettes
24 mg = 40 cigarettes

Ordered the Endura T22 starter kit and a selection of the 6mg and medium strength tobacco flavours I could find. the ones I have in hand are Halo 24mg and were far too strong. Perhaps I need something more than 6mg and will report when I receive!
