I know if I am aware that I've put a bit too much liquid in a cart then I will kind of tip it up for the first few puffs but after that I pretty much hold it as if it were a regular cig.
I find it is best to hold it horizontal.. about the same way you would hold an analog. I had tried several different ways until I noticed that the filling would dry out faster unless I held it horizontal.
can't really be of any help there as I rarely put mine down since they don't burn out lol
The times that I do it is usually set on the dash of my truck or on a table surface laying flat or, being that it is winter, in a coat pocket in which case it is still laying flat.
I don't find that tobe that much of a problem!!!! You see the heat is the catalyst.. The way the cart is desiged- it has negative pressure on it unless you provide the suction or the heat from the element provides the pressure. Now, before I stow my e-cig in my pocket ... I give it a minute to make sure the atty cools.
If you've got a cart on I'd say tip facing down so the juice heads towards the top of the filler (e.g. between vapes stick it down the back of a cushion). I rarely remember to do this though mainly because, for me, "between vapes" are rarer than honest bankers.
that horizontal has the vote so far. This works for me otherwise to keep the led up or down,we'd have to rig up a holder for it.If the led was held down, the liquid could possibly flood the atomizer or hurt the battery? And if held up,juice could accumulate by the little hole and first few puffs could be YUUCK! ?? Here's a concept-why don't they incorporate some vitamins and minerals and what not in the juices to make a REALLY healthy smoke?
LED up.
This will keep the juice from running out of the foam and into the cart (the plastic part)
I've sucked liquid holding it LED down for to long.
Just my experience
