No. In fact, on a manual battery, the hole should come already plugged. That's what makes manuals so good for dripping...no juice gets into the battery.

I got my 901 passthrough today, from Runyan Direct. but it has a hole in the battery part... wonder if i could seal it up?

That is precisely why I wondered about the holes.

I got my manual 801 PTs from Ruyan also. The first two both died within 2 days. One of the replacements I finally a couple of days ago died after 1 day also and I am afraid to use the 2nd (and last one I have) replacement PT I got.

Odd, I've been using mine nonstop since Yesterday (crosses fingers) Maybe i should seal up the hole... any tips?

just curious, what does yours do when its dead? mine acted up last night but is fine suddenly... it was staying on, i'd push the button and release, then it go off after the cut off, i could push it again and same thing stay on for the max time the flicker, then when i plugged it in, it would start on immediately with no button, this morn, no trouble... odd
