Holy crap, why didn't anyone tell me airflow was THAT important!?!?!?!

I'm mad at you guys, I was living in the dark without proper air, and no one said anything :p. I recently got a spare cap to play with for my brass monkey this morning, so I drilled out the air-hole to 1/8in (pretty big). ... HAVE I BEEN DOING?! sorry for the caps, but that's how astonished I was with the bump in vapor and flavor, yeah I've heard its at least 1/2 the experience, BULL it's at least 3/4 in my opinion. I had already found my sweet spot by slaving over my coils and perfecting them along with wicking and wattages etc. but now my world has changed :2cool:. I'm a very safe vaper and always check my multimeter first to see if it agrees with me, but I thought it was broken when I slowly ramped up to 50 watts without ANY problems (this was on a .5 coil, so 5 volts), definitely uncharted territory for me). Now I'm laughing at all the "competition clouds" I see on the youtubes, because I get it now.

-Just had to share that, again thanks for not inviting me to the party. :p

OP ... From what I have read on this forum, airflow is talked about quite a lot.

Don't know where you get the idea that it's not discussed here?

You might want to do a search here next time ... such as "Airflow".

ehh i like a tight draw... but i just got the aerotank so i adjust mine to pleasure

I agree I mouthdraw on my tanks myself, reminds me of smoking cigs :p (not that I want to touch one again). It seems too harsh to lung inhale, but I keep 24mg liquids just for mouth inhales, and bump it down to 12 for my RDA's that I lung inhale on. Sometimes you just can't beat a mouth-inhale throat hit. :D

I was just kidding man lol, I even said everyone says it's 1/2 the experience, I mean for this to have a humorous tone to it :D. Because yeah I agree you'd be an ignoramus to not get that.

-There just needs to be more emphasis is what I'm getting at , I've always had my RDA's on their max stock setting because of all the nice, helpful people on ECF, but what I hadn't done is drilled it myself to a 1/8 inch hole. I think it pretty much needs to be a sticky on the coil builds section!

agreed, I actually watched this long before I even got my RDA in the mail. Believe me I always had my RDA wide open, but it still wasn't enough to give me that WOW experience. Drill you holes guys (if your sub-ohming).

I am not one of the dumb-ohmers that don't research before playing with electricity. Just want to make that clear lol.

might be an unpopular opinion here but i get better flavor and TH from a tight draw.

I hear ya, 1/8 is a little wide to say the least. This brass monkey's stock adjustable AF cap is just barely tighter than the single 1/8th, maybe 5/64, and when I switch with the same setup the flavor practically smacks my tongue, which is a good thing, but I like how the 1/8th hole allows me to crank the wattage so I can turn that burning juice to vapor and get a cool dense hit. (I like cool I'm wierd)

I miss my ce5s, I'm still a huge aspire fan, waiting on their next tank :pop:. I like a tight cigarette-like draw for my mouth inhales on tanks, my nautilus lets me choose "super tight" mode when I want that super dense mouth to lung inhale, and when I don't want to re-drip every 5 seconds while driving lol, one day they'll combine the beutiful convenience of clearo's and the performance of RDA's. (no not RBA's not the same, the t1 is the closest we have so far.)

Take a good long look at the REO + RM2. Safe dripping while driving :)
