My husband and I have had an unspoken agreement from the start: Don't do anything you wouldn't want me to do, don't deliberately try to make me unhappy, if it's not important then I don't really need an honest answer! (some examples would be: "do these jeans make me look fat?" "did I do something to piss you off?" "are you as in love with me as when we first met?") questions like those just open cans of worms, so we agreed that lying works just as well most of the time as long as the other rules still stand. BTW: still happily married 11 years later and only ever had 3 or 4 "fights" that whole time. Aaah, blissful ignorance.
