Ok, may be needing some help here. After a day + with everything going perfectly, seems that it has all gone away. Wasn't having any problems with blind squonking and feeding the io6 atty, then this afternoon, after squonking, I get maybe 3 hits and this terrible dry hit, squonk the heck out of it, then the dry hit after only about 3 hits. Changed to a new Joye 1.5Ω atty, same thing. Don't know what happened. Tomorrow I am going to do a cleaning, paying special attention to the feeder tube, making sure it's not getting clogged up. If that doesn't fix things, I dunno, I'll need some more ideas. It's gotta be something simple and easy to fix.

Did you get it up and running.

Something that was not talked about is the feed tube. If you have a tare or pin hole in the feed tube this could cause this issue.

Sometimes, with used mods, older juice can coagulate inside the atty connector, slowing or stopping the flow of juice. It can be fixed by running a straightened paperclip or pin down through the hole in the atty connector to break it loose. Sometimes a cleaning with hot water can take care of it, but not always. So if this occurs again, might find this to be the case. This is not a wildly common occurrence, but common enough in mods that have been well used and then left sitting for a long period of time unused without cleaning.

The best way to find out if you have a leak is to fill your bottle up with water cover the reservoir with your thumb push the bottle look for water if you have a leak it will show .

Thanks for the tip. So far, what I'm finding that works the most consistentaly for me, is to give the bottle three healthy squeezes, and vape.

Like Rob said, everyone does have their own method. I just hope that it doesn't cause some time of mess. Since over-squonking it can lead to too much juice that's in the atty. The access will come out and might be too much for the catch cup to hold. So, just be a little careful with that.

If you lightly squeeze the bottle. While taking a dry hit, you will hear the gurgle pretty quickly. With some of my REO's. It depends on where the bottom of the tube is located. Since that can sometimes effect your squonk. So, the solution is to hold the mod in the direction of where the tube is located.

For example, lets say that the bottom of the tube is angled towards the front of the bottle (right by the squonk hole). So, I would hold it in the front instead of the side (where your thumb can hit the button) and do a blind squonk that way. If that makes any sense. It's kind of hard to explain in words but, it works. Because I find that if you do hold your REO in the side and the tube is pointed towards the opposite direction. Then the juice won't flow up the tube effectively. So, it feels as if your atomizer is not being fed correctly. Which might explain why you have to squonk it 3 times in order to get consistent performance.

As for you atty. Did you clean it after you had tested those juices. Sometimes the coil can get gunked up. Which gives off a bad burnt flavor. So, you might have to do some dry burns to clean it up. As with the new atty. More then likely the wick is the source of the burnt flavor. So, you might just want to de-wick it and see if that improves the flavor.
