so the suggestions would be to make the hole large enough for an ego DC mega carto (about the same size as most tanks)? Doesn't seem like it would be much smaller than a 2AA box mod but possibly shorter tube length. Maybe I am misunderstanding your suggestion.

That would defeat the purpose of it being palmable.
