Hopefully that ashtray taste is a good sign

Yes I've heard of WTA juices. I think that my break down last night might have been caused by withdrawals from something other than the nicotine. Hopefully this will be a passing problem, but if it continues I'll definitely have a look into WTA. I'm also wondering if a natural extraction of tobacco might help as well. I'm almost positive it has to be some compound in tobacco other than the nicotine as I usually vape between 18mg and 24mg with very few nicotine cravings.

Yesterday I only had one nicotine craving and that was while I was shopping with the ol' lady so I went outside and vaped and that took care of it. And most of the time when I think about it I start to vape and its no problem. Is it safe to assume that the WTA is an unflavored base element in some juices, because if I find that I do need some I'd probably be happier simply adding some drops to a juice that I like than having to find a WTA juice I do like.

I'm no scientist, but fairly certain that the nicotine that's used in ejuice does come from tobacco leaves...it is extracted. BUT, the WTA juices are a whole different animal in my experience. I recently ordered a Naturally Extracted Tobacco (NET) juice from Heather's Heavenly Vapes, and it has no bearing or similarity to the WTA juices from Arome Ejuice...so I definitely think WTA is unique & all the other NET's are something different.

The old folklore states that a burning cigarrette or pipe contains thousands of chemicals, like over 4000. Regualr ejuice has only 4 or 5. WTA adds a few more, but for me at least they were the few chemicals that my body & mind were craving.

The funniest part of my vapaing experience thus far has been that I don't think i've ever been addicted to nicotine, but I was definitely addicted to all the other 'stuff'. Regardless, as time goes on your body adjusts & what you crave today will be different than what you crave in a few weeks.

Abe, you're 90% home. Half a pipe, late at night and you didn't enjoy it... maybe that's 95%.

Is there a pipe tobacco that you really don't like? Maybe you toss the rest of your tobacco but keep that as your crutch. It will taste even worse the next time your cravings get the best of you. Just a thought. Good luck!!!

Problem is that as a smoker there isn't/wasn't many pipe tobaccos that I didn't like except aromatics (the kind they put fruit and vanilla type flavors on), which I don't have any of. And I'm not about to go to the tobacconist, not yet anyway temptation is there, well right now. (I may go to the tobacconist at some later point to get ingredients for a liquid tobacco extraction--there are several threads about this in the DIY Juice forum, I may want to play with the methods because I'll probably miss latakia with Lapsang Sauchong tea.) Basically I've kept several ounces of a generic natural pipe tobacco (it tastes something like a generic Prince Albert though I think its really supposed to be a slightly coarser cut of a RYO [they changed the federal taxes recently]).

At least it was late at night, where I would normally wake up, fix some coffee, and light a bowl right away, it was more along the lines of I was up for nearly 17 hours before I smoked that bowl. And it was a half a bowl of a rather small pipe (I always liked smaller pipes) anyway it wasn't even a full one. I would have never finished a whole bowl.

Abe, the same thing happened to me. One day I was out and about, ran out of juice in my clearo and decided to bum a smoke from my brother. I couldn't even finish it the taste was so horrible. Now I think, how in the world could my wife even stand to kiss me when I smoked!

It gets easier! Hang in there!

Thanks.

That does remind me that I need to figure out a suitable transport solution so that doesn't happen to me, if I hated the pipe, I'd really hate a bummed cigarette.

I smoked a pipe for 30 years. When I got my DSE 601 pipe in, I vaped like a crazy person for 3 days. Tried my pipe, and have not looked back since! Pipe tobacco is actually nastier than cigarettes, IMO.

Oh I'm a vaping fiend right now. I only slow down with it when I'm busy, though I seem to take at least four or five puffs about every 30 minutes when I'm moderately busy. I've been cleaning the house (in particular my "office/man-cave") because I've noticed it smells of dog and ashtray. I can't get rid of the dog smell it comes with the three Chihuahuas and whatever the heck Oscar is but I can do something about that ashtray smell by hunting down every speck of dust and bit of grime and eradicating it. Or at least thats my hope.

Actually, my opinion is the opposite Keana. Cigarettes usually taste awful to me (well except maybe American Spririt, and Drum RYO). Of course taste and opinion are subjective, and I don't know what you were smoking. A good natural or English (particularly a Balkan) pipe tobacco is superior to any cigarette I've ever had.

I see so an NET would be more of a flavoring that might contain nicotine where as a WTA is nicotine plus some of the other stuff. I would say that even if it had all of the chemicals in the tobacco one would be better off vaping that than smoking. It would eliminate the carbon monoxide (which is a straight up poison) and particulate that gets stuck in the lungs.

As a kid my uncle smoked pipes & I still luv the smell. It is intoxicating & in no way reminds me of cigarrette's. I imagine that smell would make it tough to be around while trying to quit if I was a pipe smoker.

Down the road, once I'm done with ejuice, I do plan on buying an actual vaporizer to try my hand at vaping cigar tobacco. On other forums, people have reported great success with this as you inhale a lot of the minute alkyloids. Vaporizing RYO cig tobacco tastes terrible, but the pipe blends are good through a vaporizer. From what i gather, folks would vape cigar tobacco blends often but this was BEFORE the WTA juices came to market.

I hear you though Abe, now is NOT the time to be strolling through your local smoke shop. I stopped in one a few weeks ago to see if they sold ecig supplies & had to run out as people were inside munching down huge cigars. Was so tempted to hop on the couch & join in!

Could be. The WTA juices are amazing on their own, but send my head into a tail spin. A few drops of WTA mixed with 5-7 drops of another flavor are just fine in my dripping rba's, and make it so I can still operate heavy machinery. WTA is a monster!! Srsly effective product.

Heh so was mine. Before vaping. I smoked captain black gold when I couldn't get rare silk. My favorite/all day vape is captain black. :D

I might have to try that at some point. I'll see if LJesmokes have them, their B&M is my local B&M. I got lucky, very very very lucky. I didn't even know they were two miles from my place.

If not I may have to order it. That said I didn't care much for Captain Black anything. But vaping is completely different from smoking. I'll at least try it.

It does. I'm having to clean basically every surface in my office/man-cave. I may have to take some of my wall hangings and flags down and launder them by hand (I'm unsure if they can handle the machine) It depends how much I can smell after polishing all the furnature fumigating the appolstry and vaccuming about half a dozen times.

I don't know if I'll be "done" with ejuice. One of the reasons why the other smoking cessation methods didn't work for me was I have the ADHD and usually need something to fiddle with in my hands. So drinking lots of water and vaping are preferable to smoking. I don't know if I'd want a "real vaporizor" though. I wouldn't want to vape a cigar unless they are much different than smoking one. I might try making an NET out of a cigar I have laying around though. I'm told its a "decent" cigar but I really have no clue--I know nothing about cigars other than you light one end.

I could handle it other people were smoking cigars. I've always found that smell disgusting. But if they were smoking a pipe different story.

I'll defintately have to order some if I start noticing a smoking pattern. I hope it doesn't come to that though.
