Hoping my boss takes to vaping

I have a few guys at work that I have known/worked with for ten years that smoke as I did not too long ago. Each has quit (myself included) at one time or another over the years, few months for the most part, then for one reason or another (life's little hiccups) gone back to smoking. Think most of us has been there and can relate...

Anyway, a couple weeks back my boss was coming through my work area on his way out the backdoor to smoke and stopped to talk (usual morning routine) and noticed my eGo on the top of my toolbox. Standard questions, what's that?, how does it work?, (the biggie) when did you quit? ummm, 3 days ago, kind of a dumbfounded look on my face I guess So after all that he took a couple puffs and said "not bad, I really need to quit".

So over the next few days, he asked more questions, tried a few more puffs, this time on a different flavors and again said that he really needed to quit. Next morning I gave him the business cards that came in the packages for the websites I have purchased from and starting to get my hopes up a little, I waited...

So this week started, boss stopped by, still not smoking?, yup and said he looked at those websites I gave him the cards for and again he needs to quit. Finally, I said to him that I will be getting in two new eGo twists by Thursday and I will let you use these if you'll really give it a go. So, sure enough USPS (this time) didn't let me down, got my new twists so I started putting together a kit for him that evening for Friday...

Today I set him up with my (starter kit) eGo 650mah batteries, two spankin' new CE4+ Clearo's filled, (2) 10ml each juice and charger. Really hoping this will give him a start at quitting and he actually orders a set-up, next week will tell...

Good luck. Our boss is such an ignorant SOB that he outright banned vaping. The only time we can vape is during the slow period, and by the dumpsters. It's COLD there. He hates it for some reason. Just seeing us vaping sends him into a rage. He's a total dbag, and won't listen to any kind of reason. He actually doesn't get mad if the very few smokers left sneak out. But if we vape... oh, he flips the blank out. Sigh...

Fingers crossed for you AND your boss. I'm in a similar boat with a co worker. He's been dabbling with the Blu brand but only her and there. He has really taken a liking to my Provari though so I've sent him some links to some of the sites I buy from. I'm hoping he picks up a kit for himself soon.

Thanks, Provari - obviously has good taste Don't give up, keep working at it, took about 2 weeks of patient encouragement (and I kept buying her stuff) for my wife to come around. She's down to 1 analog a day from 1-1/2 packs per day she's having a hard time with the morning smoke though, rest of the day she says she doesn't really want one, I a happy camper...

I would not of tolerated this!! Im sure I would wind up in the pokey over this as I would of reacted with doing my best to give him a black eye and a fat lip to boot!
Lots of people think you are supposed to go to the police or file some kind of grievance or something . I say that's the problem If this guy knew he would get his eye doted for such rude behavior he might think twice about destroying someones property in the future!

Your boss has no right to "take" something out of your possession at work, unless it's a firearm. Noone is taking my Provari out of my hands at work, even the security guards!

I am a very lucky one, my company allows me to vape at my desk all I want and just asks that I make myself aware of any outside suppliers, vendors, owners coming in any particular day!

You need to take him to small claims court and get that money back. Those were minutes and hours of your life you will never get back.

There's a price we pay for "progress" and this is certainly one of them. 20 years ago someone would have knocked this guy out cold and the police would have just laughed at him trying to file a report.
